I am wearing a new pair of white wedge shoes to work; my 4th pair of new shoes this month!!! I don’t know if it is the carnival sales or just trying to replace my old shoes or trying retail therapy again, feeling rather miserable last week..

And heck, out of the four pairs, this is one of the two that goes to the category that blister my toes! It is a pretty pair, white with bold gold buckle in front and it was comfy when I put it on last Friday at Times Square and looks very pretty~ ^.^

But today after 7 min walk to the LRT train station, half an hour standing in the train, another 5 minutes up to my office, the front portion of the shoes seems tight. I hope it would be loosened after a few wears and not end up like the lacy brown wedge that I have only wore once since buying it >.<

This is not the original picture of my shoes but it looks a little bit like this~

Of all the sad things in my office recently (some which I have not written here) I think there is a happy one, or I think it should bring at least some threads of happiness to other colleagues. My company, I suspected spent over a million ringgit to get new powerful pc for all of us!!

Yeah, it arrived yesterday, Dell Optiplex 745 - Core Duo E6600 (2.40Ghz/1066Mhz/2MB,Int NIC) with 4GB RAM and 160GB harddisk!

The cost? RM 3,890.00!!!

A rather impressive and powerful machine; thus no more excyse for us to complain that our productivity is low due to the slow machine!

I came early to office again this morning at 8am as I need to go off early at 5pm to go the dentist again. My least favorite time of the month but heck, I’ve been delaying it for too long. My manager saw me this morning with the PDA on my table. Guess what! He asked me to keep it when I said I’ll return after I use it in a day or two! *smirk*

But then again, I didn’t really want to keep it as it means responsibility as there’s many theft cases in the office lately. So now have to lock the drawer every day, or else..

P/S: I’ve successfully configured the PDA for testing without her help at all!!! =P TFR297

Ahh.. it’s Friday again, my third favorite days of the week (after the weekends of course)! So look forward to go back to my hometown tonight, as I really need to recharge myself. I always have plenty of naps in Malacca, something that I am lacked of lately. And also home cooked meals~ ^.^

But yesterday, during our weekly meeting, my manager requested all of us to come back at least one day this weekend to work! >_<

I think I hafta come back early to KL on Sunday morning and go to work for a minimum of four hours. I talked to my manager just now and he said its fine to come in 4 hours. >_<

Thursday night, 19th July 07~

It’s 11.48pm now and I’ve just showered and well, a little tired. I am supposed to be on bed now but rather excited. I went to watched Dreamgirls on Starlight Cinema at KBU with my housemates (except for Keone) and KW just now. We actually planned to watch it tonight since last week but we were so lucky to get 3 complimentary double passes to watch for free!

So we reached around 7.30pm and bought McDonald for dinner, not too appropriate but we didn’t have much time to prepare. We chose a strategic location at the middle of the field, quite front to the big screen.

This picture wasn’t taken tonight, but was from the Starlight website~ It wasn’t as packed tonight~

But the sky was gloomy, it was kinda dark. We all expected it gonna rain real soon. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying our dinner and more people came, though it was far from crowded. Suddenly, it began to thundered! The movie had yet to start!

The movie started to at 8pm sharp, as promised. And the sky was getting darker and could felt the cloud getting heavier and more thunders. We prepared our umbrella, ready for it to pour but with the hope that it wouldnt be too heavy that we soak.

Meanwhile, watching the amazing beautiful voice of those dream girls, it was really awesome. Their voice was really superb~

Without us realising, the sky started to clear and the clouds were moving away. ^.^ We were captivated by the songs in the movie. Suddenly it started to thunder again, we were having doubts whether the sound was from the movie or the sky, as the speakers were really very loud.

But it didn’t last long. Movie ended at 10pm and the rain couldn’t fall, for whatever reason. As we packed our stuffs, and the newspaper and cloth we sat on and walked out, the organiser gave us some complimentary tickets for tomorrow Premiere show (Because I Said So)!!! I so wanted to watch it.. but sigh.. I’ll be back to my hometown tomorrow night.. I haven’t been back hometown for almost month..*gasp*

A rather nice experience though~

Well, we grew up, having people telling us that physical appearance is not important. What’s more important is your capability and skill. Do you agree on that?

Well, I’d like to believe it is true (not that I am a very capable person to begin with, but at least it is fair). But hey, I think it is not the case in reality!

I cannot help but notice that physical appearance does plays an important role in the society. Take workplace for example. If a girl is pretty, a guy colleague would be more pleased to give her a helping hand. Is that not true?

How about during interview, a male manager having to choose between two ladies with equal capability but one is much more striking than the others?

And this unequal treatment doesn’t only stop at workplace, but it goes beyond the personal life, school, society and maybe even in the family too. The prettier one normally, if not always, I would say most of the time would get a little more attention and priority than their lesser counterpart~

So, next time you make a wish, you know what to wish for~

Yesterday, we had another farewell lunch for a colleague at Kenny Roger at KL Convention Center. Yes, another farewell again. There seems to be a never ending of people leaving the company. But the number of people joining is not as fast as those going out. Sigh..

Hey, Kenny Roger chicken was quite tasty (or I was too hungry) and the service at this branch wasn’t quite bad.
