MERDEKA!!! MERDEKA!!! MERDEKA!!!
Filed Under Malaysia | 7 Comments
Today is a proud day of all Malaysian! It is the 50th Independence Day and the country is finally 50 years since the day we are no longer dependent on British! Am I proud to be a Malaysian? Well, I could say sometimes I am. Malaysia is indeed a beautiful country, blessed with no natural disaster like earthquake & volcanoes, a lot of tasty and variety of food, many races live in peace, summer all the time (well, it’s not something that everyone likes but let’s be grateful, ok), has the 3rd highest building in the world (and I am working in it!!!), beautiful islands, etc.. I love the sinful but yummy food like Char Kuew Teoh, Nasi Lemak, satay, roti canai, laksa, many-new-flavoured-mooncake, dim sum and etc~ I think most Malaysian that left for other countries will eventually miss them~
Char Kuew Teow~ *drool*
Nasi Lemak~
Satay!!! One of my many favourites!!!
But hey, there is many cons too living in Malaysia, but not that I am going to mention it here at the moment! Let’s be proud to be here today and be patriotic for a day! I am flagging a Malaysia flag at my gate, another flag on my table and one in the office cubicle~ !!!
HAPPY MERDEKA!!!

Seafood Steammmboat at Klang~
Filed Under housemate, food, weekend | 2 Comments
I am no big fan of steamboat but I don’t mind going for them now and then, especially if the Tom Yam soup base is nice! So last weekend, we declared it a steamboat day! Again four of us (Yit, Sean & KW) when to Klang for the Chen Chen Ho Pulau Ketam Seafood Steamboat. ChenChenHo, situated at Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang has two branches, which is rather near to each other.
Their seafood is very fresh, as it is deliver from Pulau Ketam, a small fishing village nearby, daily! Pulau Ketam is famous for its seafood and even exports them to Taiwan! (Ok ok, I am just stressing how fresh is the seafood here :P) Actually it is a shop owned by KW’s friend, so help her to promote, but the food is really good, no kidding!
We ordered for 3 person’s portion and add a crab, fried fish egg, funny-looking-shelled-seafood, the-dunno-call-what-prawns (as in the steamboat picture below) and etc! The tomyam soup was really delicious, I always love tomyam~! Well, guess how much we paid for all? Only around RM22 per person, quite cheap as we ate a lot! Surprisingly, health-freak-Yit ate more crab & the shell-seafood and others than me!
Watch your cholesterol, hon..
I love 'fu zhuk' most, the upper left corner one~ Especially if it is soaked with tom yam! Yummy!
The the-dunno-call-what-prawns with hard shells. Need skill to remove the shell though but de flesh is tender & delicious~
The big crabby!
I like this part of the crab! Full of flesh~ Yummy..
Fish eggs!!! I think it is the first time I have it and still can't accept it too well~ Though someone claims that it is better than KFC! :D
The funny-looking-shelled-seafood, my first time eating it too. Very chewy, but Yit likes it..
Last but not least, here is the shop, Chen Chen Ho in Klang~

The 25-minutes-2-times-A-day-and-5-days-A-week-LRT-Train-Journey~
Filed Under train, me, life | 7 Comments
What I hate about the 25-minutes-2-times-A-day-and-5-days-A-week-LRT-Train-Journey to work :
1. Crowded, super sardined-crowded especially at peak hour. Uncivilized people wearing smart office suits do NOT hesitate to PUSH around!!! >_<
2. Some people pass wind (fart) in the train like nobody business and you do not know where to turn your head in the crowded compartment. Arrgghhh… couldn't wait for the door to open at next station!!! (Have been in this scenario often lately >_< )
3. Standing right behind female with BIG HAIR and you are facing directly to their hair. And they tend to turn around in a swift, SWEEPING YOUR FACE with their don't-know-when-they-last-washed-hair! Yikess!!
4. Body odor.. Need I explain more?
5. Your standing-neighbour LEANS AGAINST you!!! Hello! Can't you stand on your own???
6. Perfectly HEALTHY young people (especially men) SITTING happily, ignoring the pregnant woman (or senior citizen) STANDING right in front of them!!!
7. Dormant elephants : Those who stand at the middle of the pathway, blocking people from entering into the middle of the train where there is empty space!!!
8. Disgusting man/old man/fat man/smelly man/ugly man standing very, very near to you!!! Get lost!!! Eeewww…!
9. If you know the rubber thingy at the front of the seat that you can hold on to (heck, I don’t know what are they called), do NOT hold them! If you do, smell your hand after coz it is really stinky!!! Perhaps from the accumulated palm sweat, when people gripped on it tightly! Yikes!!!
10. Last but not least, technical error of the trains that happened for unknown reason especially when you are on the way to work!!!

Quite uneven..
Filed Under hair, me | 6 Comments
I finally did it. I have never done it before and after contemplating for quite some time, well I went to the Miko salon today to colour my hair! I only want to dye full head brown colour, no fancy colour or stuff. I am not that hippy. =P
But seated in the salon, feeling rather inexperienced in this, the stylist managed to talk me into highlighting as well and so I agreed. She even chose the colour for me! Mahogany & brown.. Hmm..
The process was rather long, 3 hours! After washing off the colour, I could see the top of my hair being rather yellowish but the rest of the hair was black. Bad feeling started to creep in..
What have I done?!? It looked like cheap DIY dye-job at home and reminded me of the destruction I did on my roomie hair when she asked me to help her colour it 6 years back in uni. I started to regret and thought of ways to undo my hair color?! Can I tie it to work? Or should I dye black again? My imagination started to run wild.. and panic.. Arrgghhh..
The junior guy stylish, whom rather rough in handling my hair, told me that it is due to my hair was still wet and he started to blow dry it..
And ahhh.. it look much better after it started to dry, but hey, the top of my hair was still much brighter than the bottom part! And then the rather-cool-senior-stylish cut my hair around 2 inches shorter and more fringes, I mean shorter fringe. I kinda like the hair cut though.
And ta-da… after 3 hours, hmm… it was still too bright on top of my hair. I think he highlighted too much at the top!!! The bottom part is still rather dark.. >_<
Not too happy at the overall effect though Yit told me that it is fine. But it is cheap, only RM175 for hair colour, highlight, treatment & hair cut; as I used the MyStyle sms voucher of 50% off for chemical services~

My first Pancake Meal!!!
Filed Under food | 5 Comments
After getting the sms voucher, I went to Paddington Pancake House at Plaza Sri Hartamas for the pancakes! It is actually my first time (a bit suaku
) I am having such pancakes meals..
Ok ok, hafta admit that I am not that adventurous in the food section~
With Buy 1 Free 1 sms voucher, I think it is rather worth it as the sms costed me RM3.50 but we get free pancake set worth RM12.50! Check here for more details on how to get the sms voucher~
Here was what we ordered, pancakes with lamb (cost nearly RM2x.xx):
Here was the free one, yummy sausages : ![]()
It was rather new to me, quite full although the portion wasn’t as big. Maybe the 3 pancakes were rather filling, one with cheese and ham too!
Will I be back for more? Perhaps I would.. Yeah I guess I would.. Wanna try out their fruits pancakes which look delicious too~ ^.^

Flossing..
Filed Under teeth, housemate, brace | 7 Comments
Yesterday night I taught my houssy, Yit, how to floss her teeth. Flossing is one of my many routines every night, on top of normal brushing, brushing using interdental brush and also gargling using mouth wash. Yeap, I took many minutes cleaning my teeth every night, not am certainly not a freak. Just that it is not easy to keep braced teeth cleaned.
Ok, back to Yit. It was her first time using the floss and she was rather thrilled (or should I use amazed) to find out that there was a lot of hidden leftover in between her teeth after she brushed it. She told me she felt her teeth were so clean and smooth after flossing!
And she couldn’t stop repeating that she would get her own floss the next day and will start to floss daily!
So, do you floss?

The awesome fireworks!
Filed Under firework, entertainment, fun, friend | 9 Comments
Yesterday, thinking that the Putrajaya won’t be packed and as it was the Australia team, HEAF-ian and some of us went to see the firework competition! One word to describe : AWESOME!
Since I am using low-end Casio Exclim camera which I know couldn’t capture nice pictures at night, I decided to take video instead. I am uploading some to YouTube and here :
This is the final firework before it ended :
This is my favourite, the colorful firework! :
A lot of fireworks at the same time! Marvellous~
Well, if you haven’t gone there and would like to see, you can check out the time table here. No need to buy pricey ticket, can just see from outside, clear & nice! But take note, damn traffic jam when the firework ended, so many people went!!!
(Sorry DT, I went without you.)

I got a pleasant surprise when ZL, my ex-colleague that I haven’t met for quite some months called me up to see if I want to watch Rush Hour 3 with her. She got a couple of tickets with popcorns and drinks, purchased at a special rate from her company, Scope. And I think, Jacky Chan being more than 50 years old (or older?) should take it easy on such actions movie. Not that money is a problem with him, he should avoid hurting himself less in the process of making movie..
Well, why not! Though I am no big fan of action movie and am suppose to go back to Malacca on Friday night. Hmm.. this time I have my expectation low, especially after I read the 2-stars-review-rate from Malaysian Today paper, 3 hours before the show!
But it turned out to be quite nice, not too much action, very funny and I enjoyed beautiful views at Paris, the Eiffel Tower! Not to mention the sexy & gorgeous French chicks as well. But it ended after 1 hour & 20 minutes, a rather short movie.
Rate : 3.8 stars! (Maybe it is nice to watch a human movie after 2 consecutive animations!)

Simpsons, the movie!
Filed Under movie | 4 Comments
And so, I’ve watched Simpsons!!! Gee.. it was a little different, to be insulted at the beginning of show : we are dumb to pay for what we can watch at TV! Ok, put that aside. Homer, the father msut be the worst father in the world to keep mentally and physically abusing his son, Bart, challenging him to do stuffs! Board skating to a shop and back, naked!
Well, I already have too high expectation on the movie that I suppose, as usual; if ur expectation is too high, u gonna get disappointed, well, most of the time at least. And this time too! The joke is too American, too lame for me. But it is enjoyable to watch what I’ve not been watching for a long time, it’s like reminiscing (thank god the ticket is Buy 1 Free 1)
Rate : 3.5 stars!
