Don’t you just love movie?
Filed Under me, movie | 17 Comments
Yay, today is Friday again! Don’t you just love the day? I live my weekday for this day. Except for ppl like YC!
I remembered he told me wasn’t excited on Friday and when I asked him why, I found out he gotta work on Saturday! That makes me feel extra happy, not because he has to work, but because I feel lucky!
Anyway, last weekend I watched several movies! One English movie, one Cantonese animation (both in cinemas) and a Korean movie (200 Pounds Beauty) on DVD. Not to mention several episodes of Grey Anatomy on DVD! Almost a movie weekend, ain’t it?
Yesterday during lunch time with my colleague :
SS : So what movie you watched last weekend?
Me : How you know I watched movie?
SS : You told me mah..
Me : *memory lost* I watched two movies at cinema. First is Doraemon, in Cantonese version.
SS : In cinema? Got that kind of movie meh?
Me : Yeah!!
SS : Where got ppl watched that kind of movie in cinema geh?
Me : Half price mah.
SS : Still.. watch DVD la.
Me : *change topic* another movie is Knocked Up.
SS : *nvr-heard-of-look*
Me : It’s comedy, English one. About a girl who just got promotion at work. She’s very happy and went to the bar to celebrate with her sis. She met a sloppy guy, who don’t have proper work, doing almost-porn-like website and they had one night stand.
SS : woo..
Me : Then she’s pregnant! She’s the good girl type, so they tried to have a relationship. Rather funny lor.
SS : Ahh..
Today, when we were going for lunch, waiting for lift.
SS : So this weekend do what?
Me : Watch movie again lo. Hairspray.
SS : *faint*
Doraemon - Rate : 2 stars
Knocked Up – Rate : 3.5 stars

Let’s belly dance, shake it, baby~!
Filed Under current, fun, me | 24 Comments
Today, I determined to make it a better day. Since I have enough sleep and my dark eyes circles are giving me a break and I’ve been depressed enough yesterday to last for the whole week. Nah, only at work. Probably hormonal changes that explains the breakout on my face. Whatever.
Gee.. and I have something to be excited about.. for the next three months.. or perhaps the excitement will only last for the next three weeks! I’ve joined the BELLY DANCE class at my company! Hmm.. I mean my company opens a Belly Dance class for the employees (limited seats) and hire a sexy, hilarious, teacher from Iran. Yeah, she’s really from Iran. Cool huh?
Belly dance is a cultural dance from Egypt, Turkey and Iran that concentrated on hip and chest movements. Through belly dance, a woman is aware of her hip, chest and stomach muscles and how to work them
Yesterday was the first class and Nanccy (the Iran teacher) brought her non-english-speaking-mother along to the class and she sat at the corner for the whole period. And this poor old lady was fasting (puasa) and had to wait till the class was over around 7.40pm to be able to break fast.
Back to the Belly Dancing. Normally the belly dance class costs you RM30 per class but since our company is paying BUT they want to ensure commitment from our side, we hafta pay RM30 for a month. Well, not too bad rite? The class is from every Wednesday, 6.30pm to 7.30pm at our big meeting/training room. But the sucks part is we have to arrange the many tables to the side before class and arrange back nicely after class. I am no big fan of moving heavy stuffs.
In the first class yesterday, Nanccy taught us the movement of the legs/feet, more to like steps. And we went 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4~ After that, we were taught the movement of hands, the shoulder as well as arms. Next we combined both movements of the hand and legs together. All basic steps with background music. Ahhh.. fun~
We are giving the option to buy a belly dance scarf to tied on the waist, and it has tiny litlte dingling stuffs that will produce sound as you move. The one Nancy is selling, which she got from GREECE, costed RM220 per piece!!! *whistle* But it was pretty neat & lovely. Optionally we can also get at Chinatown at RM50 or so a piece. Or perhaps go without it and felt less like a dancer~
And the class? It was rather interesting. Am looking forward for the next class already~ ^.^
By the way, Nanncy and her mum was in yesterday's The Star paper and check it out here. It is about her background, how she got into teaching, her current classes & stuffs~
This is Nanncy~ I like her already~ ^.^

Mooncake Festival Dinner at Marche~
Filed Under festival, photo, fun, friend, food | 13 Comments
What’s happier than spending a happy dinner with friends at Marche, The Curve on a Mooncake Festival? It was buffet dinner at RM38.88++ excluding beverages, a rather reasonable price, which was actually for “Buka Puasa Buffet”.
I went with nearly all my housemates, Tung, KW and YC and had a really nice, filling dinner with a lot of salmon, fresh prawns, muttons, sausages and a lot more!
The ambience is very cool and nice, I like it a lot. Except for the part where you take ur food, it’s a little too smoky.
The fake fireplace, seems like a see quite many lately.
That’s me and Seanlel (my housemate!)
Keeyit (my housemate too!!) with YC (he ate the most, so really worth it to bring him to buffet!!!)~
Seanlel with KW~
Keeyit and Tung.
That's SST!!!
The foods was rather good, especially the prawn, very sweet & tender!
Yummy prawn, mussels & delicious whipped potatoes~
Smoked Salmon Salad~
When we reached home, we just played with candles instead of lantern. Reason? We didn’t get any lanterns! (so much of a good planning) And ate minimal mooncakes as all of us were too full but we had chamomile tea with a lemon and a lot of laughers & chats to help digestion~
It’s a good night, which I hope we can have more often.

Happy Mooncake Festival~!!!
Filed Under festival, friend | 11 Comments
Today is the special day for Chinese! Yeah, I am chinese~! It is the mooncake festival day but I don’t exactly remember the story behind it. Hmm.. was it something about a paper with message secretly tucked into the mooncake so that the enemy couldn’t find out? Something like that I believe. No? Wait, is that for the dumpling story? Hmm…
But still it is a joyous occasion where people eat mooncake and play lantern. I do too, though not a big fan of mooncake, I don’t mind taking a few pieces especially now they have so many fancy flavours. This year, I bought 8 pieces (7 from Thai Thong & 1 from Purple Cane). 4 for my parents and 4 for my own! Muahahaahhaa..
I like the fancy flavours like the Vanilla Tiramisu, Berries Delights and Green Tea but my colleague said it’s just too fancy! And I prefer the snow skin compared to the normal one. Not too into the yolk mooncake but don’t mind having them either. It’s actually very high in cholesterol, so might as well as don’t like them, rite?
Anyway, tonight, I am looking forward a decent dinner with my friends at The Curve. Probably settled at Marche for the buffet if no last minute changes and not too packed as it is break fast time. Or maybe TGIF? Or Shabu Shabu? What about Manhattan Fish Market, my fav! Aivy suggested Winter Warmer too..
Maybe lantern session after that if it’s not too late and we managed to get some lanterns? Nah, we are certainly not too old for it! ^.^
Happy Mooncake Festival anyone~! Be happy okay~

Cameron Highland 2, wonderful place~
Filed Under holiday, photo, fun, friend, weekend | 15 Comments
This is the first time I stayed at a Malaysia Nature Society Hostel which provides basic facility, double-decker beds, shared toilet and bathroom, a common kitchen/conference hall and beautiful scenery, surrounded by the vast tea plantation!
It was rather difficult to reach there. Jan, a retiree from Holland who participated in the “Malaysia My Second Home” program which is also the members of the Malaysia Nature Society lead us to the place using his GPRS gadget! Cool! He had been here before years ago.
Look at the tiny, winding road that we had to take, up to the hill, which was quite a distance. Have to drive cautiously, or else plunge into the deep valley! >.<
Finally, after half an hour or so, we reached there and was rather surprised by the place. It was raining and we have to climb the stairs which was about 100 uneven steps up to the hostel! Tiring!
This is the hostel from the outside, yeah, greenish in color!
It has 20 beds and there were 16 of us. So everyone chose a bed and I got the lower deck!
Gee.. reminded me of the first year in university, I also took the lower deck! A cosy place~
Here is the conference room, attached to the kitchen and the dining room!
We bought some vegetables, fishball and steamboat’s material food and made steamboat!
Everyone was so hungry and we were delighted to have hot steamboat on cold rainy day~
At night, we lighted up the lanterns and had mooncakes (and also liquor, snacks and sweet potatoes desserts). Too much food, too cold, too cosy~
On Sunday, we went to the tea shop and the wind was blowing so strongly. You could practically hear the howl of the wind. So we hide in the tea shop!
Having some hot teas and cakes outside the tea shop and enjoying the beautiful view~
Finally time to go, packed our bags and took some pictures!|
And if you have not tried Cameron Highland’s corn which is bigger than normal corn, much sweeter and juicier, you should absolutely try it! It is pricier though at RM10 for four corns. But the taste? The best I ever taste for corn! Seriously..
Corns with butter, yummy!
And the common and abundant strawberries that you can find there. Don’t buy the small ones as they’re sour; go for big ones as there’re much sweeter and value for money~!
Tempting, isn't it?!?

Cameran Highland lovely greeneries..
Filed Under Malaysia, holiday | 13 Comments
This time round, I stayed at the tea plantation instead of hotel. It was a very farrr journey up the hill, on a narrow and winding unpaved lane. It went round and round till you have to hang on tight and eat sweets so that don’t vomit. But I guess it’s worth the long, curvy ride as the view.. .. is … *taking a deep breath*… breathtaking! All around the hostel that we stayed are greeneries.. tea plantations.. magnificent..
Picture speaks a thousand words.. so let’s view them~
The vast tea plantation in Cameron Highland.
On the hills, so green, so green~
Looking down the valley, you can see the tiny houses. Made me feel like I was at foreign country! Beautiful!
All of them so happy, early in the morning at tea plantation. But where was I?
I am here! Squatting down among the tea leaves! Coz the wind was blowing very strong and I felt so cold. So I hide myself from the wind!
See the mist? And feel the wind.. Sooo cold..
Last but not least, I've uploaded a small video clip that I took there. Mind the color and quality, coz the camera is very low end. =D It suppose to be very beautiful. The green 'building' is the hostel that I stayed at. It is surrounded by hills and tea plantation..

Toward Gayism~
Filed Under friend, life | 10 Comments
How well do you accept gay-ism in our society today? My mother accepts it very badly and to her it’s a forbidden and taboo topic. For me, I take it quite gracefully as I watched quite many of my friends turning and embracing gay-ism! So, it was a slow transition for them as well as for me. No, I am not gay lar.. Touch wood! =P
They’re like normal friends, except for the part that it is perfectly alright to sleep in the room with them (during trips) and you can be sure darn well that they would not try or think about taking advantage of you (if you are girls so to say, else there’s a lot of risk involved and u might wanna think twice!)
For one thing, they could be quite vain, taking extra care of their appearances and own more mask than girls (read : me). For another, you (again if you only are girls) can be quite comfortable around them as they’re totally not interested in you that way and you can eliminate the suspicion of his actions! So, rather a harmless guy (or read : gay) friends and more fun to have conversation with them as their frequency are closer to the girls’ channel~
One thing about the special guys is they love to check out another guys! I mean much more than the girls do, and they like to stare at the good looking ones, especially at the gym! So, watch out if you noticed another guy staring at you. He’s not trying to pick a fight but checking out your biceps.. So, consider yourself attractive (to the gay, so to say) =P
And the gay community is getting stronger as they have their own online community such as Fridae and Axcest. Not to mention their own gay pubs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia : Liquid and La Queen. Maybe it is not too obvious but I think the numbers of gays are also growing in our society; too many are good looking ones!
Such a waste! No?
Just one things to take note of, make sure your gay friend do not have an eye on your boyfriend, else it’ll be tragic if he tries to make it his~ ^.^
Another growing tradition is the young Asian guy dating the older European men. Personally, I’ve known two couples who are in that relationship. It means no condemnation whatsoever, just personal observation. Well, they seem to be happy at least, that’s what matters most, isn’t it?
But wouldn’t it be rather sad for a girl to be dating a guy and some even marry them and to find out that a few years down the road (or few kids down the road), suddenly this man declared that he loves his neighbor Tom and wants a breakup/divorce? The man might be having social pressure of settling down with a girl and start a family and have kids. Or perhaps, he wasn’t sure of his own orientation until he finds more feeling to his male lecturer than his own girlfriend.
Disclaimer : I don’t know how to write one. But just my personal observation and experience with gay friends, which I grow to like (as a friend, nothing more, nothing less) and with no condemnation toward them or favoritism whatsoever.

Gays are usually seen traveling all around the world; for this purpose they need to apply for vacation online loans. This might draw one towards bad credit loans. But one needs not to be worried about the issue because there are so many debt relief loans institutes helping those, too who are to deal with the issues of small business loans. The credit union loan is one such institution.

I am back!!!
Filed Under holiday, fun, weekend | 5 Comments
I AM BACK!!! Good to be back as I missed my dearie Dell lappie a lot! Left the house around 6.15am on Saturday morning and came back around 9.30pm on Sunday night. Totally exhausted! Actually not really that bad, as I had many cat naps in the car. =D
I am back with a tray of big, juicy, red strawberries, 2 boxes of sweet, cherry tomatoes, a bag of luscious, extraordinary delicious corns and a bag of orangey sweet potatoes! All fresh and yummylicious~!!!
I am back with experience and memorable trip to Gua Tempurung, advanced session, mind you! And unbruised and uninjured body, wading through the dark water, crawling through some low ceilings of the cave, sliding down to lower grounds, knocking my head to the low ceiling and climbing down through some small holes for 3 and half hours~
I’ve made it!!! Ok, no big deal.. everyone can do it.. =P
I am back with an unforgettable experience of the car tire of Rav4 stucked in the mud and grass, tilted to a side and unable to move at the narrow road on the way up a hill. It took around 8 strong guys to push for around 10 times to get it move! And it was raining, cold strong winds with hungry, rumbling, tummies.
I am back with a holiday mood that refuses to work although mind and body are rejuvenated and ready for more work challenge (more to challenges of passing time at work).. =D
