Weekend Escape~
Filed Under holiday, fun, weekend | 4 Comments
I love Wordpress. There are so many things I can do with it. I have so much control over my website, unlike the Easyjournal which only let me put the header, so you might notice I chunked everything on top! I’ve no control over it at all. Xanga is not too bad but not as good as Wordpress. People need to login to comment, not so convenient, eh?
What is so good about Wordpress? (No, I am not paid to write this in case you are wondering..) OK, wonder no more.. I like it coz I can pre-write my post and pre-set the publishing time! Yeah~!!! So now I am taking full advantage of it!
I am now away for my little adventure to Gua Tempurung as well as Cameron Highland (think : breezy~) for this weekend. Probably I am now wading through the dark, murky water of Gua Tempurung right now, and glancing up and backwards nervously, hoping I don’t slip and fall! Honestly, I am a little scared but when I am scared, I try not to think about it. OK, it doesn’t really help much, but at least reduce my worry and frightened time. =P
Next I’ll be eating strawberries & cherry tomatoes at Cameron and staying at tea farm for a night, buying cheap roses, enjoying steamboat and talking to people I don’t know. Reason is there are many participants of the trip that I never met before. But what the heck, I want to try the advance adventure session of the Gua Tempurung. Yit been there twice and she said it was fun. If she could do it, I can do better, rite? Eh, the confidence =P
Till I am back again! ^.^

I am changing!!!
Filed Under me | 6 Comments
What the heck! I know I am trying to hard. I hate to admit it to D. I wanted approvals but then again deep inside me I know I am not doing it right. Sometimes we want something badly that we forgot why we do it at the first place.
So now, I, cbenc12, hereby declared that I shall, and will (but with no promises) do my very best to steer to my original objectives and not be influenced by the end result too much that I forgot to enjoy the process and become too stilted (a new word copied/learnt from D in MSN) by the glory and be more natural and hmm.. what else?
So, I’ll begin with a good night sleep, now that I am so tired now that it is 12.26am, although I can wake up late tomorrow as … my noon shift is extended to one more day!!!
Woohoo… !!!
Nah, I am actually not that excited as I should be coz the toll is taking its effect. Yup, I am starting to feel a little tired from the afternoon shift for a reason that I couldn’t quite make out of. (no, I am NOT old, that is NOT the reason!!!)

Time VS Money~
Filed Under work, life | 5 Comments
Two main ingredients of life, apart from love, are time and money. How do you juggle between the two of them to have a balanced, fulfilled life?
I wouldn’t say all but from my observation and opinion, most of the time you trade your time for money. My manager will be a good example. He works days & nights almost everyday, and I do mean night as he works till quite late at night, sometimes on weekend too. Nevertheless I believe he’s well paid for commitment and time he put in.
I don’t know if he has a good, happy life outside from work. As far as we are concern, he doesn’t seem to have another half and is living by himself, at age of reaching 40s. But he certainly does well at work, much respected & important figure here.
And well, I do that too, sometimes, not to the extreme. Yes, trading my time for money. I hate to work on weekends as it is time to rejuvenate and surfing-the-net-full-time, watch DVD and napping. But sometimes for the sake of extra money (and of course to finish up the uncompleted work) I dragged myself to the office on weekend too!!!
But sometimes when I go overboard, I try to remind myself to find a balance, between work, money and time for friends and family. Both are getting crucial as you have more commitment, the extra dough will do nicely but so is spending quality time with your loved ones.
So how do you manage?

Best time of de day~
Filed Under happy, me | 5 Comments
I’ve decided. That I really, really do like. Working afternoon shift! Yeah! I get the best time of the day for myself. That is in the morning of course! Doesn’t matter what time I wake up, like on Monday, I got up at 8.30am.
I like to have time for myself. No matter if I have to do duty and clean the floors or wipe my room. Or perhaps having a coffee alone and a slice of cake from yesterday party. Or simply surf the net, lay down on the bed knowing that everybody is at work except for me. Or going to de dentist. I simply like it. I like morning for myself. Period.
Or perhaps it is new to me. I always like new thing. I am easily bored with routines. I am not even feeling very tired when I work at night. Just only teensy bits of laziness when I got in the office at 1pm. Perhaps it was lunch, maybe the fast food lunch. Burger. Makes ur sugar goes up and those fried food. So unhealthy. But aren’t sinful foods is the tempting ones?
And I like to stay up at nights, without worry if I could wake up early the next day. If I couldn’t fall asleep and tossed and turned on the bed, I wouldn’t feel so worry. Yeah. That’s really good. But I know.
I only have 3 days. Sigh.
3 days to be cherished.
On a different channel, for sushi’s lover, do indulge in the rice based sushi on the Kaiten Belt of Sushi King for only RM2!!! Yup, the promotion is here again and I just got to know it today!
I just had it for dinner just now~ *burp*

I am not a Plastic Bag
Filed Under thing, current | 10 Comments
Have you heard of it? I believe many do, even me, the so unfashionable gal who couldn’t care much about the latest fads. I just can’t be bothered much unless I really the hottest trend and it looks good on me. And most importantly it is comfortable!
Back to ‘I am not a plastic bag’. It is actually just a bag, an environmentally friendly bag that was designed by Anya Hindmarch. Guess what! It was sold out so quickly in UK, US and many places, a few hours after it was released! Such a hot item!
I remembered in July when it was being sold in KLCC at price RM55, my colleagues were so excited and went to queue up, even took annual leave as it was 10am in the morning. But too bad, the queue was too long, they didn’t get the bag!
But then again, it would be good if people do start using their own shopping bags than using normal plastic bag.
Some scary facts to be digested :
- We use on average 167 plastic bags a year, per person! Do your math..
- Only one in every 200 bags is recycled!
- Plastics can take up to 400 years to break down in a landfill!
If it could create some awareness for our environment, the bag would be a good cause, a good start. Another way is to reduce the plastic bags that were offered when we are purchasing stuffs at supermarket or shops. Put it in your own bag or use an existing plastic bag that you own. Reduce plastic spoons/fork if possible. Recycled.
After all, it is our mother earth, one and only one. =)

The genies~
Filed Under tag | 7 Comments
Whoa, I couldn’t sleep yesterday night. I thought it was because of the excitement that I get to work at 1pm to 10pm instead of the usual 9-6pm. Means I’ll be getting extra doses of sleep I could very well use of. Which explains why I am still at home at 8.57am now on a Monday morning! Don’t envy.. ;P
Well, something happened actually yesterday night. The Genie King and the beautiful Genie Princess from a Land of Faraway paid me a visit after midnight. Man, they wanted to grant me with the Symbols of Genies to ward off the Evil Master! That sounds so cool and I’ll be given a wish to request.
And so I’d request for health, happiness and luck for my family and friends and me too!

Crooks are around us!!!
Filed Under bad, hate | 12 Comments
Over tea yesterday, I heard something horrible from my colleagues and I believe that everyone would have heard of something familiar happened to their friends or family. Probably not the exact scenario but something as frightful as well.
A few seconds later, the same two Indian men on motorbike returned and smashed the car’s side window with a parang (big chop knife)!!! Then they shoved the knife to his neck and demanded him to hand over his wallet and belongings. Well, he had to do as instructed, as the parang was at his neck (even leave a mark now). >_<
Man.. it happened when he was in his car, right in front of his own house!!!
Another case : the colleague who sat next to me is on emergency leave yesterday. He sms-ed us that his house was broke in yesterday night and all the grills were cut. >_<
It was one of the many stories I heard and it happened to me too (different scenario, but also 2 Indian men on bike). There is no more security even outside our own house, even if we are in the car and even happens to guys as well! What’s happening to our country?!? We read them everyday in the newspaper, read them in the forwarded emails and friend, colleagues and family told us first or second hand news that happened around them.
Things are getting out of hands; it is no longer a safe place, even in your own house or car. >_<

Evan Almighty..
Filed Under movie | 9 Comments
I watched Evan Almighty on the Merdeka weekend, on DVD! It was not too interesting but not too bad, enough to keep me going till the end. It was about a politician chosen by God to build an ark, as he kept saying he wanted to change the world. So he got the assignment. And animals in pair starting to follow him and his life started to go on haywire. I felt that the end of movie was too exaggerating, too unbelievable & fake.
Overall, it was okay although the movie was supposed to be sensitive on religious part. But I enjoy seeing all the animals in the movie.. =D

Ryu Men Tei~
Filed Under food, weekend | 12 Comments
I’ve been craving a little for Japanese Food lately. Perhaps it is healthier, or perhaps the taste is lighter. Or simply because I have the discount sms from MyStyle. After colouring my hair with the MyStyle sms, Sean said I am really making full benefit of MyStyle. Why not?!? It helps me save a lot and try out different food that I otherwise wouldn’t try. (And mind you, my continuation of promotion doesn’t has to do with any sponsor from them, I am just a happy user). =D
So, today, I tried the Ryu Men Tei, a japanese restaurant at Subang Jaya, near Inti Colleage. It is quite spacious in the inside with rooms for those who like to experience real Japanese style. But hey, I am happy with normal chairs and tables.
We ordered Unagi Set (RM28) and Ramen Sushi Set (RM26) which were quite good and the portion was quite filling. The unagi was rather fresh and went nicely with the rice.
It wasn’t very crowded on a Sunday afternoon, only a few customers apart from us. I think we were served by the Japanese waitress. Overall, I am happy with the food (but then again, I am a hardly critical person when it comes to food) and the service was okay too. Unagi Set, yummy~
Sushi Ramen Set
Generous sushi~
Using the sms voucher, we only pay RM34.50 after discount for 2 persons, not bad huh?!?
The other custs~
Unagi : I'm loving it~
