Overview of Bangkok Trip~
Filed Under holiday, photo | 13 Comments
In general, my Bangkok trip was rather fun, though my shopping was not up to the expectation (I have a very high expectation, mind u). I didn’t even finish my Thai Baht, which I am not so sure is good or bad! 4 days is certainly not enough! I didn’t even get to go to Floating market coz lack of time! ![]()
Here is my itinerary in Bangkok :
Day 1
- MBK Shopping Mall
- Siam Square
This was at the pedestrian bridge between both shopping mall! Awewsome, right! Halloween decorations~
Day 2
- Day Tour (4 Face Buddha, Natural Herb Center, Tiger & Crocodile Farm, Leather & Gem Factory)
- Suan Lum Night Bazaar
"Don't sleep while I am talking", the wife croc says to the husband croc.
Day 3
- Chatuchak Weekend Market
- Marbles Temple
- Khao San
- Siam Square
- Pathpong Street
The red light district of PatPhung with pubs and lotsa imitation stuff. Boring.
Day 4
- Grand Palace
- Wat Pho
- Thai Massage
Beautiful golden temple at Grand Palace! A certainly must visit!
Of all the places I wanna go, I missed two important ones : Floating Market & Thai KickBoxing!!! ![]()
Ahhh.. all coz of lack of time. *sigh*
Perhaps next year I will go there again..
More pictures will be up after I sort them, took more than 700!

Back from Bangkok!!!
Filed Under me | 8 Comments
I am back! Yeah, it feels good to be back, to be connected to the virtual world again. Of course it doesn’t mean I didn’t love the trip. I did! It is fun, had a lot of shopping though not as much as I expected. Time wasn’t enough, really!
It is a very wise decision to take leave today and thank God I applied for it! So now, I am contemplating whether to check my email which is 2 pages in length now, response to the comments in my blog, checking out other blogs, view all the photos from Bangkok OR to do my laundry, clean the dirty room (coz 4 days the dust already covered most part of my room), unpack my luggage, sorting out the souvenirs, make a decent meal for myself or go to the dentist!
So, ending up I am doing some at the same time, doing a little bit of this and that.
Loads of photos will be up soon! Happy Tuesday, everyone!

A nice European House Restaurant, TJ~
Filed Under photo, food | 4 Comments
There is this really nice place for European food, TJ Haus restaurant, somewhere in Subang Jaya and I guess it is easily missed if no one ever brought me here. WL’s friend, who apparently is a food lover has lead us to this fabulous place. Their service was excellent as well and it opens for lunch as well as dinner. I was told that during the weekend, you have to call to make a booking!
There are many western foods like chicken chops, famous crispy duck, spaghetti, steaks and a must-not-missed-homecake-Peach-cheesecake! I absolutely adore their seafood soup, which I would definitely order again at my next visit!
I really love the beautiful ambience although the place is little too small. But there are few tables at the balconies which is rather pleasant too. CC said being there she felt like falling in love. It was a great place to chat as well.
The lovely surrounding near the balconies.
I ordered a peppermint tea, rather pleasant~

How Addicted Am I to blogging?
Filed Under test, me | 9 Comments
I am addicted to blogging, very much indeed. This is proved by the fact that I am currently in Bangkok, probably shopping in some markets or complaining about the heat (or so I heard that it is hot in Bangkok)!!! Yeah, I am on my holiday here in Thailand for 4D/3N (from Fri-Mon) but I have pre-written this earlier.
Well, if it is not good enough reason to prove that I am addicted, I’ve taken this fun quiz to verify it! See my result here :

Anyway, I’ll be back in a couple of days~
Have a fabulous weekend!

To Perform or not to Perform?
Filed Under dance, me | 13 Comments
Geez.. this is not good. Very bad.. I am not ready, really! I can’t even do a proper ‘shimy’ but my company S&R team wants us to perform belly dancing for our upcoming annual dinner at Sunway!
Man, I can hardly shake my butt without my top body moving and likewise. I cannot do the small little hand movement while rotating my bum, the lesson that was taught yesterday. How can we do chorography by December 15th when we only have around 6 weeks to learn and it normally takes 2 months to master?
My company is willing to sponsor the costume and searching the internet, I saw how sexy the costume is! Man, I don’t have a nice body figure to flaunt! *sweat*
So, now the decision is to join or to chicken out. If more than half the class (around 30 in the class), join the performance, I guess I would be barely visible right? Hmm.. I am so petite that I could be invisible in the crowd..
*think, think, think*

The Stranger I Know~
Filed Under train, me, life | 15 Comments
Yesterday morning as I entered a crowded LRT train, I managed to get to stand in front of the ‘safe zone’ which was in front of the seat; where it was less pushing. I saw an elderly man standing by the door. I think his wife was sitting on a seat next to him.
The man somehow looked very familiar to me. I suspected it was one of the blogger that his blog I visit once in a while. But I couldn’t be sure. So I looked at the wife, whom I saw the photo before in his blog. She looks a little like the blogger’s wife too!
But then again, I am really bad in recognising people’s face! So, I was really having my doubt if he could be the blogger that I knew on virtual world. I wanted to say hello and asked him but I was so shy. The train was too crowded and I don’t want to break the silence as it would of course draw unwanted attention!
I thought of asking him politely at the last station before I got down from the train. So I quickly took off my Ipod headset from my ears before my stop. But upon reaching, the wife gestured the man to get a seat and I didn’t have my chance. Or probably I was too shy to ask him anyway. Which I regretted now coz I didn’t find out if he was really the blogger I knew!
I told Sean about the incident just now and he asked me, “Why would you want to say hi to him?” I don’t know I guess it is such a good coincidence that we could meet in real world instead of in the virtual world only. But the thing is most of the time, I am just too timid.
Well, would you say hello to those know in the virtual world when you see them on the street?

Winter Warmer at The Curve~
Filed Under friend, food | 17 Comments
I’ve always wanna try the Winter Warmer place at The Curve for quite some times now, after seeing many good reviews about it. But, due to lack of activities, I didn’t have a chance till last weekend. WL and CC welcomely accepted my suggestion.
The atmosphere inside the place~
Well, I just love the British-feel of the place. Very soft, warm and british! The atmosphere was perfect for us to catch up after years of separations.
Blue Moon,the non-caffeine-herbal tea that I had!
I ordered ‘Blue Moon’ drink, a mixed of a few herbals, one of them was rose. The taste was mildly fragrance, very pleasant indeed especially when you tipped in some honey. We also ordered a tuna waffle after high recommendation from the waitress, even right after our lunch. It was really a nice blend of tuna, waffle and mayonnaise.
The tuna waffle, around RM10.90~
It is really a nice place with fabulous ambience for tea and chatz~

The Pleasantly Unexpected Weekend Visitor~
Filed Under fun, friend, weekend | 8 Comments
My mobile phone rang at 8.03am on the Friday morning, a number from Singapore but wasn’t from my phonebook. Curiously, I answered the call and hey, it was my best buddy from Singapore, we used to be roommate in university and housemates as well. The last time I seen her was in Singapore May 2005!
WL asked me if I would be around in Kuala Lumpur for the weekend. I would be practically alone since nearly everyone was going to be outstation this weekend. I just plan to have my own 2 days to rest, surf net and read the new book that I am currently hooked up to (The Memory Keeper’s Daughter). I said yes! She had this sudden urge to come to KL and plan to drive here if her friend would come with her.
Apparently, her friend thought it was too short a notice and said no. So, after WL sent her brother to the airport at 4am on Saturday morning, she drove all the way to KL, alone! She met up with another good buddy of mine, CC which we haven’t met since graduation, more than 5 years ago! Four of us (including another girl that recently move to Aussie) were very close and did everything together in the hostel. One of my best years ever~
So, this entire weekend basically transported me back to my younger years. At least it felt so, with them around and it really was a great weekend albeit WL’s short notice to us. I slept over at CC’s apartment in Sri Petaling with WL on Saturday night. How we talked and talked and talked as if there wasn’t a 2 or 5 missing years between us. And I suppose it was due to our closeness in the past that we didn’t feel awkward for the lost time.
CC has grown into a wise young lady, still a very caring friend; which like a mother who always takes care of us. She is still very neat and clean. WL hasn’t changed much either, still like a child who is pampered by everyone. And she still continues eating after complaining that she is very full! Habits don’t change easily, do they?
Beside having a great time catching up, we also have eat too much sinful but yummy food : ikan bakar (fish), satay, grilled chicken wing, fried minsin, European food at TJ and others. Just felt full most of the time. We started with a tea session after lunch at Winter Warmer, The Curve, dinner with other friend, pasar malam (night market).
On Sunday, I had my first reflexology session at Comfort/Yoga Zone in Endah Parade. It was by a shy Balinese guy who has work in Malaysia for the past 6 months. I guess my kidney and liver aren’t too good! Drink more water, he advised. After a sumptuous lunch at Subang, we headed to Sunway Parade shopping mall for some shopping. Fun but a little too tired now. Is it age?
Anyway, I am really glad that WL has this sudden impulse to make a trip to KL. I just miss the good old days that we used to have. It would have been perfect if Yun was here too.

And I am joining yet another one~
Filed Under me | 14 Comments
3 classes down the road for Belly Dancing and the tutor, Nanncy is ill! Man, the class was cancelled but it was quite alright. Oh, no, do I feel a little less excited about the class already?!? Geez, I sure hope my excitement stays and I’ll still be attending the class for days to come! Talk about my enthusiasm. =P
Anyway, it is probably I have slightly steer my excitement to something else : Yoga!!! Yeah, I’ll be joining yoga class tonight. It is another class organized by my company but the Yoga class has been ongoing for a couple of months now. The registration is based on weekly basis which was the reason I didn’t join at the first place.
But talking to my avid-Yoga-colleague, she encouraged me to try a class or two. And so I am going to do that. I already purchased a cheap Yoga mat from Carrefour Subang last Sunday. Yeah, u see, I seems to be rather serious but hey, just let hope it stays, okay?
And besides, the class has been on going for quite sometimes, I hope I can catch up and able to fold my body flexibly at odd direction without breaking anything. *grin*
