The WarLords
Filed Under movie | 7 Comments
I don’t watch Chinese movie in the cinema, especially if the movie is about war or actions, something that I bore me to death. But since it was MJ’s birthday and she expressed the desire to watch WarLords, a movie that I have no idea about and would never picked, I surprised myself by being a good sport and watch it during New Year eve!
More surprising was I find the movie interesting and enjoyed watching it from the beginning till the end! Yes, it’s true! I would even recommend it (coming from one that hate LOTR or any war movies).
The movie was about 3 great war leaders, acted by Jet Li, Andy Lau and stunningly handsome Takeshi Kaneshiro who became sworn brothers to fight poverty of their village. I wondered if war really happened as in the movie as it was really gruesome, brutal and full of blood!
But as he became powerful, greed crept into the heart and disregards their initial intention to save the poor and being bully.
A wonderful movie, well played by the 3 main actor, real and touching.
Rate : 4 stars!

Here are the pictures taken during the last week in my previous company and some were during farewell lunches.
Lunch at Roma Pizza, Avenue K.
Some of my best ex-teammates before restructuring..
My lunchmates, we used to have like 10 people, but only few left.. all have left..
Various colleagues from same or different teams..
Teammate, bellyddancing mate, colleagues, manager..

Here is it, the belly dancing performance video and some pictures, as promised, taken during the annual dinner in Dec.
The original size is nearly 500MB and after many cutting and compressing, I managed to reduce it to 20MB, from 5 minutes to 1 minute and 17 seconds. (so, please bear wif the quality and lotsa cutting)
How I miss going for the belly dancing classes!!!
We arrived ready to Sunway to practise.. and to take pics!!!
Let's practise in a circle, put your hands like this~
The colorful belly dancer, talking & laughing~
All were ready and dressed, waiting for our turn to perform! *nervous*

The 1-day-Gym~
Filed Under me, life | 5 Comments
Once, I wanted to go to gym for a day so badly that I cheated to go in. Well, I have 3 housemates that are members of Fitness First. So I got the member card from one of them and went in with Sean.
They briefed me about the environment in the gym, where the ladies room was and how to use the lockers. It was a metal lockers and I even have to put my shoes there when I was showering! I was reminded to keep the key properly or else I wouldn’t able to open the lockers after that.
I did around 30 minutes of workout and sweated. Well, gym was fun! Only if you go like once a month.

Flying Soon!
Filed Under travel, me | 10 Comments
Yuppeee!!!
The flight tickets have been booked and I’ll be flying on the 11th of Jan, which would be next Friday!!! I would go to Taiwan for stopover and next the flight would take us to San Francisco!
On the way back, we would stopover at Taiwan again and would stay for two nights! Shopping is all in my head for Taipei! I shall be back two days before Chinese New Year, one day to unpack and another day to travel back to Malacca for CNY!
Sounds like a dream to me!
Now, the next headache would be where we are going to stay in San Jose? Would they get us a vacation home while we are there for 3 weeks?
I heard that they are getting us a studio apartment, penthouse style. The booking is not so confirmed yet which drive us crazy. Yeah, we want to plan everything now so it wouldn’t be last minute thingy.
But how about when we go to other places for visit during the weekends? San Francisco is a must! I want to see the famous Golden Gate and get the Benefits makeup which was made there!
Hopefully is cheaper than Malaysia.
But I need to pack my things first. Yesterday night, I have a horrible dream. I dreamt that I was still packing 30 minutes before I need to leave for the airport!!!
Horrifying!!! Which made me wake up at 8.15am on a Saturday!!!

The Pantry Man..
Filed Under office | 12 Comments
There is this little pantry outside of the my office, where it is shared by few different offices/companies. It is a very small pantry, with only one sinks and if 4 people stand inside together, it would be a little too crowded. It is barely bigger than a home toilet!
And today at lunch time, the director bought us some satay (barbecued meat on sticks) and I wanna wash a small container to put the peanut sauce. I went into the shared pantry and was shocked by a man, formally dressed, sitting by the sink. He was eating his lunch, with the light off (but not too dark as there was light by the corridor)!!
I ignored him and wash the container and it even crossed my mind to think, hey, is he human?!? Or am I seeing things!!!
Man, who sits by the sink and eat in the dark in that small pantry (with no chair, table, probably only 6 x 6 feet in size). I quickly left after washing.
After eating the satay, I went to the pantry again and he was sitting, resting there, with his back against the wall!!!
Geez.. he is surely a little too weird (read : scary)~ I asked my colleague about the pantry guy and he said he always is there..eating and resting after his lunch! O.o

New Year, New Job!!!
Filed Under me, life | 13 Comments
Today 4 persons will start their brand new job on a sparkling new year! One of them is me!!! I’m a little nervous and the thought that I am not going to KLCC to work upsets me a little.
Anyway I hope I can blend well into the new crowd, a much small one than my previous company, cope with the new environment, new workload and hopefully like the place enough for me to stay for another couple of years.
The another 3 persons starting the new job is Tung, who joined the previous company together with me and left at about the same time. He’ll be paving a way to be an IT consultant, good bye to programming! Good for him!
Another one is also an ex-colleague who was in the same batch as me when I joined the previous company. She had achieved her dream of leaving the company that she was getting very unhappy about.
The last one is my new colleague at this new company! I just met her once, when we applied for the visa together! Hope I could get along well with her!
Actually this would be the first company that I joined without a coursemate in the same company. In my previous 3 companies, I have coursemates that work in the same companies (one was introduced by me after I joined a couple of months; one introduced me to the company but different branch and the last was Tung which I brought him along when both of us looking for a job!)
Now, I am all alone.
From now on, nobody is going to look after me.
I am on my own.
Good luck to me!
Hope I won't work till like that in new company!
