Listen to Your Words!

I cannot stand those who like to exaggerate. A small thing becomes huge whenever it comes from her mouth. Yes, it's a her, usually.
Everything for her is seen with a magnifying glass. A little exaggeration might be needed for conviction or excitement, but a little too often is simply too dramatic and irrational.
"They NEVER take any action unless it …". Mind the word NEVER here. Well, of course it is not always true, but using such strong and ultimate word is so wrong. But it is so loosely used and doubt starts to creep into the mind of the listeners. Are you really being mistreated or are you just whining for sympathy again?
Sometimes the construction of a sentence is so important too. It could bring the wrong message or a hidden message. For example, when doing something for the benefit of both parties, using a sentence that begins with "Do you want ME to .." sounds like I am doing YOU a favour instead of volunteering for it.
Listen to your own words every now and then. How does it sound to the listener?
Are you delivering your message as intended or are you slipping it with sarcasm or any other hidden message?
