Oh Yes, I am exercising!!!
Filed Under fun, weekend | 11 Comments
The health consultant pleaded me to lead a healthier lifestyle; more fruits and vege, include oats in my daily food intake and exercise regularly about 3 times a week. And I vowed to do all that but it just never happened, especially the oat and exercising.
And so, feeling guilty, I joined some friends who were on the expedition to climb Mount Kinabalu weekly training! Nah, I am NOT to climb it!
But since they have ‘training’ to build their stamina weekly, I try to join it as a form of exercising for me.
Last Sunday, we went to Batu Caves early morning by 8am, to climb 272 steps. I only managed to do it 1 round. Reason? Nah, I am NOT tired!!! I just felt a little scared climbing the narrow steps, and I never have phobia in height! The thought of tumbling over the steps and break some bones, keep hovering in my head and I couldn’t make myself to climb for the second round! >_<
This weekend, on the Saturday, we went to Bukit Gasing hiking at 7.30am! I woke up even earlier than my normal working day which was so rare! Anyway, it was my first time to Bukit Gasing and I quite like the area! Peaceful little jungle hiking place which was quite steep at some places and you have to be careful with your steps. But I saw many old people climbing it, so it shouldn’t be a problem for all.
It was all greenery and I simply love it! But the thing was I spent too much time watching my steps than to enjoying the lush surrounding. It took us exactly 90 minutes for the whole hiking trip with a little rest in between. I would definitely go there again!
And yeah, I felt good after that, no muscle pain whatsoever and I could keep up which the other which proves that my stamina is still good although I don’t exercise regularly.
Maybe regular shopping and walking to LRT station daily is good enough as an exercise to me?
There is a Suspension Bridge (Jambatan Gantung) there too~
Find a lot of plants and supposingly-animals as well at that little jungle!

To Defend Or To..?

In the half-emptied LRT, I was happy to spot a seat and gratefully sit on it. A young girl was sitting opposite me and she looks like she just stepped out of the Seventeen-magazine!
She was wearing an oversized-pink-frame sunglasses with matching big-pink-hoop-earring and white fluffy blouse and very short blue denim. With a high brown boots and oversized white bag, she looks totally chic and CUTE!
What's more with her fluffy soft baby skin that needs no makeup and soft hair, as well as French-manicured-pinkish and green apple nail shade, she is simply adorable and yes, I couldn't help stealing many glances at that pretty little thing when I think she wasn't looking (it's hard with her eyes hidden behind the glasses).
And when she was getting down (same station as I), she fumbled around her big bag and retrieved a pink NT-cutter-blade (like a pocket knife)! She put the cutter accessible from the bag's front pocket. As she was getting up, she quickly slipped the cutter in her denim short's pocket!

I was rather horrified to see it. I could only think that she is using it for protection purposes but KL Central is kinda safe place for her to walk around, isn't it? Besides, for protective purposes, we have to make sure that the tools couldn't be used against us when we are attacked.
A blade is extremely dangerous as the attacker normally would be stronger and bigger (if victim is girl) and could easily take over your weapon and use it against you.
The only safe tool that I could think of is to use personal alarm that could attract attention from the public (hopefully) and scare away the attacker. I am not even sure about pepper spray.
Unless she is not using it for protection purposes, but for… killing?!?

Let Go of My Mouse!
Filed Under hate, me, life | 11 Comments
Do you ever have the urged to wipe clean your mouse when someone borrows it for a moment to check something on your pc? After he left, you have the tendency to pull a tissue and raucously rub every corner of it?
Well, I do! Sometimes I just couldn't help myself as I felt that my mouse hygiene has been assaulted! So I took the tissue and rubbed it vigorously, hoping to wipe out whatever particles and oil that has landed on the back of my poor mouse!
After a good scrub (but still wishing that I have my wet tissue with me), I quickly ran to the washroom and pour a generous amount of soap to my hand and lathered it thickly on my both of my hands. Feels good to wash off with cool running water after that.
And you wish he never have to use your mouse again. *sigh*

I Downgraded Myself~
Filed Under me, life | 8 Comments
I regard myself as a loyal Maxis user, as I have been using it for nearly 3 years, since before I joined my ex-company. Though they wasn't much benefit as a good Maxis customer that pays promptly when the bill comes.
My first line was Hotlink prepaid but as a customer support, I need to call using my very own phone often which was so pricey! I finally couldn't take it and decide to switch to postpaid.
So, I first signed up Maxis to buy my current phone 3120 (which I use until now) at a lower price and I was entitled of only RM10 of monthly access fees, in early 2005. But within a couple of months, Maxis came out with RM75 plan and stupid me went and changed to the plan and I have to pay extra for the phone rebate I got. (=.=)"
And with that I sticked with RM75 for nearly two years and finally decided that I have to put on effort to call and sms for my bill to reach RM75. Or else I still have to pay RM75! Darn. I was no longer a customer support but a QA. So, I changed to supplementary line and only pay RM10 per month for access fee.
My phone bill drops to about half of my previous usage and I was about happy to settle for that. Until I find out that how much benefit my prepaid friends are enjoying! Yes, no kidding! They have free hundreds of sms for topping up, they get points for receiving calls and topping up and they could exchange it for more airtime or more free sms. Which you enjoy none with Maxis postpaid. So called valuable postpaid customers. (=.-)"
And with that, I finally ditched Maxis and switch back to prepaid again. Yes, I get to keep my postpaid number, which is something new. Just head to Maxis center and pay RM35 for a normal simcard or RM50 for 3G simcard. It comes with RM10 airtime~
Feels good to downgraded back to prepaid~ (^.^)

I am back to my hometown!!! Haven't been back since CNY, the only time that I went back this year. Ah, disgraceful child!
I am missing my monthly sleep-fix as I normally sleep through the day when I am in my hometown. I'll be meeting up with my old buddies from childhood! Look forward to see them!
Happy weekend everyone! ^.^

Yesterday morning I saw a disturbing thing while walking to the LRT station. I passed by some back lanes (I know I so shouldn't after the almost-being-robbed incident) but it was a short cut and it was peaceful in the morning. And I was being extra careful by observing my surrounding while holding a personal alarm.
I normally would look at others' back lanes when I passed by to see if anyone was going to rob me, yeah I was paranoid, so couldn't help it. And as I was walking I glanced to the back lane and saw 2 Malay guys trying to do something at a house! It was like 2 houses away from my ex-assistant-manager house.
I didn't dare to stop and look as I was all alone and quickly walk off. Hey, I am just too small and weak to fight 2 Malay guys if they so happen to be thieves or something, rite?
But I felt so restless and I was trying to find someone to tell but there wasn't a single person on the streets! And I wasn't sure if they guys were just repairmen fixing the roof for the house or if they were really trying to break in! >_<
After all, Tung's wallet was being stolen a couple of week ago, right from his room in the same neighbourhood!!!
So I walked to the main street and tried to view from there, which was kinda far and they couldn't have caught me if they want to. They had a small stair and one of the guys was wearing red T-shirt. One guy was climbing up and the other guy was standing there, watching. So, were they thief or were they not?
I really don't know. I couldn't verify it and I couldn't call the cops. I just felt helpless and continue my journey to work, unsettled.
I told an ex-colleague and the ex-assistant-manager whose house was nearby via MSN. And apparently, when 3 paranoid women discussing some suspicious things, all got very worried. She quickly called her hubby and was so worried as her youngest son was home alone.
I hope it is just false alarm and me being dramatic again. Hai…
