During Chinese New Year when I was back to my hometown, my mother has been hinting me to get some shades for our window in the living room.

"It is too bright especially in the afternoon when the sun was glaring", she said.

And I nearly forgot all about it till now. I am thinking whether to get some faux wood window blinds instead as they could handle sun exposure for quite a long time. It would look great in the living room and would cool down the interior environment as well, not to mention that it would make my mum happy. :P

Anyway, after some researching, I hope to get some discount window blinds from ShadesShuttersBlind and choose from their vast selections!

Are you guilty of stealing internet lines/account in those days that we were using dial up? I am.

I was reminded of my selfish act when I was in
TMPoint (for the 3rd times, but that's a different story) the other day when I saw an old Indian man lodging a complaint.

He was seated at the next counter from mine and since the registration of my 2nd Streamyx line took a very long time (40 minutes at the counter) as their system was very, very slow (how ironic when they are the internet broadband provider!), I couldn't help but to listen (read : eavesdropping) to his complaint.

It seems that someone was using his dial up account very frequently when he didn't use it in the period at all. Only he and his wife in the house and clearly someone else have been stealing it. I felt bad for him as I have been the 'internet thief' before when I was in uni.

My housemate provided us with some of the username and password that we could use to login to the dial up internet. It was free internet for us and I didn't give much thought to the owner of the account, not even sure who it belong to. I guess we didn't have really good etiquette and didn't think of the person who has to pay for it.

Selfish act, I have to admit. Another selfish act that I couldn't really remember if we did was "Did we let the ceiling fan switched on when we went to kuliah/classes when we were staying in the hostel?"

Over the weekend, thanks to GSC-Fun-Break-Buy1-Free-1-voucher, I went for two movies; a comedy and a horror.

Ah Long Ptd Ltd is a hilarious Singapore + Malaysia movie which was about the reformation of “Ah Long” (loan shark). It is about a young lady taking over the Ah-long leadership and how she was trying to restructure the violent triad to a gentle-loving-money-lender triad.

She also married a very
soft-feminine man (ah kua) who is a very funny but loving guy. I totally enjoyed the movie, the sarcasms, hilarity and the creativity of the story. A great comedy for those who can use some laugh and need some humour~

Rating : 4 stars!!!

Rule Number 1 : I couldn’t believe that I am watching 2 Chinese movies within 2 days in cinema! I always think that it is sufficient to watch Chinese movie in DVD (but now is half-priced-ticket, so rule changed :P ). It is a rather slow-paced-movie (read : a little boring) with some scary-eerie-effect-scenes.  Starred : Ekin Cheng (he is getting older, man!)

The story is about police inspector Lee was transferred to Miscellaneous Affair Department (MAD) which investigate on supernatural cases. When a ghost possessed a body, it could switch to another human by a single touch. The ghost could only be ‘terminated’ (killed) by shooting on the possessed person before it touch another human.

I don’t really like the ending of the story which was a little sad. But there was a twist in the movie which I decided to declare that it is worth-watching (on DVD or half-priced-ticket ONLY).

Rating : 3 stars.

(even difficult to find it's poster! this is the best I can find)
