The Not So Reliable LRT..
Filed Under me, life | 11 Comments
Wouldn’t life be easier with no options for us to choose for? There is no fear of regret and doubt of decision. Life would be simple and you could just focus on what you have to do rather than thinking of what to choose.
Today the Putra LRT decided to die on me. Ok, not on me but it has some serious technical problem that I heard someone taken an hour to move from one station to another! Holy cow!
And thus, after confirming with my ex-colleagues and calling the Putra Line hotline, I decided to degrade myself by taking the bus to work!
It reminded me of the time I used to take bus to work everyday! Gosh, those were the (dark) days!
The bus stop was rather crowded; which made me wonder if it is always like this or only today since the LRT was almost down. There were many old people and some youngster going for work.
When the bus finally arrived after 15 minutes, it was even more crowded inside but we managed to get into it.
An old Indian lady was carrying some potted plant for the temple prayers, gently asked a strong, healthy, young man to let her have the seat but he just shook his head slightly and ignore her! Oh, how rude!
Most of the seats were occupied by Bangladesh and none of them offered any seats for the elderly!
They finally got down at Asia Jaya and many seats were available. There were this small old lady standing in front of me and I asked her to sit at the empty seat. She refused! After I insisted, she said the seat were too high!
Indeed the RapidKL bus seat at the front was so high that it would be difficult for old people to reach. I remembered my mother used to complaint that the bus were high and difficult to climb for the elderly. Anyway, she found more empty seats at the back and moved there.
It took me around 30 minutes to reach my office which was rather ok. Most of my friends were stucked in the LRT for more than an hour. There was this guy that was walking next to me when I was walking to the office. He kept complaining in the phone on how long he stuck in the train! The whinny guy..
I hope the train technical problem is rectified when I am going back later! Hai… so much for the public transportation in our country..

Finally I have perfected found the art of cooking the oat porridge that I dreaded but I have to eat. If you don’t know yet, oat is great food that fights cholesterol.
And I have practically forced convinced myself to swallow eat it twice every week. I couldn’t bear to eat it for breakfast, as it would have to pathetic..! Or so I felt. I couldn’t forego my daily cuppa coffee too!
So there. After many attempts of experiments, I finally found the absolute delicious right recipe for the bland, tasteless oat..

Cheese!!!
Yes, cheese! It makes the oats smoother and cheesy! Obviously only for mouse those who loves cheese. (^.^)
A single cheddar cheese works wonder~!
I also add Chinese sausage (lup cheong), fu zhuk and carrots! And I topped it with plenty of anchovies, peanuts and black sesame. Yum~
P/S : Apparently cheddar cheese has cholesterol too! /_\

Day 2 : Sungai Lembing Trip~
Filed Under holiday, photo, weekend | 7 Comments
Yes, we got up at 5am to go to the Rainbow Waterfall, a much harder attempt since we were already deprived of sleep. But thank God, we were brought to the ‘pasar’ for a quick breakfast first. 2 half boiled eggs, toasted bread and teh-si-peng~ (^.^) My ideal breakfast~
Next we climbed on a lorry and sat there for one and half hour of trip on the ‘jungle’! It was a very bumpy ride as there wasn’t any paved path but only a track full of stones. The lorry even waded small streams and the uneven journey was really a horrible one!
We have to grip tightly or else we might slipped off our seat, which was just bench on the lorry, with no cover on top of the lorry. We were just exposed to the rain or the sun (or those tree branches during the journey). (=.=)”
I was glad when we arrived and I thought that’s it, where was my rainbow??? To my dismay, we have to hike for an hour through the jungle. It was not an easy one since we have to go through some rivers with the slippery rocks and stuffs.
I wasn’t mentally prepared for it and thus find it even tougher. But finally, after being bitten by 3 leeches I finally reached the waterfall!
And… it wasn’t a huge one as expected too. But boy, wasn’t I glad to be seated down and enjoy the scenery and gobbled down the ‘chee cheung fun’ that we we brought along.
And not long after that, many tourists arrived and the place turned into a market with all the noise, people cheering and shouting, smoking, cooking instant noodles and stuffs. (=.=)"
And yeah, I saw the rainbow around 10am when the sun shines and it was quite constant. Anyway, we were told that we are lucky as it doesn’t appear everyday. (^.^)

And I braved myself back to the hiking which took 45 minutes and 2 hours of bumpy lorry ride under the mercy of hot scorching sun!!! T.T
That’s it. I shall never be back Sg Lembing. Those who have never go before can go at least once for experience. But twice is a little too much for trip like this. =P
This picture is taken while roaming the small town of Sg Lembing. Colorful houses of the small town. ^.^

Rainbow Waterfall Trip~
Filed Under holiday, photo, fun, weekend | 10 Comments
I have bitten by the virus of I-m-so-lazy-to-update-my-blog. And I must admit the virus attack has getting more serious by the rate I am blogging; from every single day to twice a week and I fear the rate going to drop even further and I am forced to close down the blog. /_\
There are things I can write about which is the Sungai Lembing trip which I bet everyone else would have already written about it. I am 9 days late..
It was a trip of 12 people, not everyone know everyone else but at least each know at least other 3 and at least one person knows everyone, yeah being the co-organizers.
It is a place known for the famous rainbow waterfall and probably nothing else as it is a super-hot small little town which is almost dead. The small town is so peaceful that the villager could just leave their keys on the motorbike! And during the afternoon it is hard to find a place for lunch as most of the shops are not opened, not that there are many to begin with.
We left KL around 9pm after work and reached there after midnight and ‘checked-in’ to a hostel; exceptionally clean wooden house with 4 rooms and mattress that you can choose from.
On Saturday morning, hardly having a wink of sleep, we have to wake up at 4.15am to climb the small hill to watch sunrise! With almost empty stomach, unless you are willing to eat junk food in the morning; which all that we have.
It was a 45 minutes climb which isn’t too difficult if you have some stamina. It was a starry night and the weather was cooling and very fresh! But we reached the peak quite early, around 5am-ish and the sun didn’t rise till around 7am! Plenty of time for those professional photographer to set up their SLR on tripod and the rest chatted and complaining how hungry are we. It was quite a pretty view when the sun finally rose!

After that, we hiked down, had delicious breakfast, and roamed about the small town on foot (which took less than an hour) and back to nap.

Lunch at Kuantan since we couldn’t find a shop that opened for meal! Actually we were glad to escape Sg Lembing as it was unbelievable hot, hot, hot weather!
At night, we had BBQ dinner which we bbq on our own. It was rather fun although a lot of food was wasted. And my insomnia seemed to perish with the lack of sleep the day before. The next morning we have to get up at 5am! Hey, I thought it was a holiday?

Fit Walking?
As the only lazy bum in the household, I am the only one that does not join the gym. Even the other girl in my house has joined it last month. Shame on me!
Thus, the only exercise I get is through walking. Yes, I want to hit 10k steps a day. When I first got my pedometer, I think I could have hit 10k step if I go out for lunch regularly from my office.
And I think I found a better and more effective way on how to have a better workout while walking! Have you heard of FitFlops? Mind you, it’s not my spelling error but it is indeed a “fit” flop to help you work out while you walk!
With integrated wobbleboard technology, Fit Flop helps to tone and trim as well as tighten your muscles to give you a slim and tone leg! Simple as that, isn’t it?
They have many colours of Fit FLops to choose from and the designs are pretty cool which I think I can wear it casually for shopping or casual outing. I totally adore the White Walkstar II Fitflop as white has been my recent craze. As it is so comfortable, I could wear it for trip and wouldn’t worry about sore feet!

Budget Good Food~
Filed Under photo, food | 11 Comments
Being not-so-hungry, we are not too sure what to eat on Sunday night. When we saw the promotion for Hainan Village at Manjalara, Kepong, we decided to give it a try.
It was really a very value meal as they are so many dishes for RM9.80 and it was quite good. Though the green curry chicken gravy isn’t as thick as I like, it tasted quite nice too.
The tempura-styled-deep-fried-kang-kung is really crispy and scrumptious. All the side dishes are yummy too except for the soup-of-the-day which is just like what you get at hawker stall. But for RM9.80 it was acceptable and worth it.

I ordered a French toast which I have forgotten to take the picture as I was too engrossed with the food! It was really delicious as well and I will certainly be back for more!

Korean BBQ Chicken~
Filed Under photo, food | 11 Comments
This year, even with a little love to KFC, I have decided to stand firm and ban KFC for a year after watching the KFC cruelty chicken video.
I have found many of the KFC cruelty videos in YouTube and other sites. I wanted to put up a video here but decided to remove it as it was really too cruel to look at. You can find a lot of the videos here.
Though I really missed the crispy fried chicken, I have stand it for more than six month and I keep reminding about the cruelty. Well, let just see if I can make the same resolution next year.
Anyway, I really miss fried chicken as I have sort of refrain myself from indulging it due to my high cholesterol. But after seeing the mouth watering lunch pictures taken by BabyFiona, I couldn’t help but try it for myself!
Yes, the Korean BBQ Chicken.
I must admit I have never known its existence. But since it is fried using olive oil, I suppose it is rather healthy, or maybe just not that sinful, right? At first I thought it was a fast food as I was going to the counter to order. But it is a restaurant alright.
I ordered the smoked chicken after battling for 5 minutes over it with teriyaki chicken. However I had a taste of one of the original
fried chicken as well. It was really very yummy, despite the restaurant being rather empty on Saturday night.
The smoked chicken is very tender and tasteful and the whipped potato is good too when it was warm.

The fried chicken is really crunchy and yummy!!! Writing this post and looking at the pictures make me wanna go back again soon! Drool~!!!

But the drink is a little expensive, RM5.50 for a soft drink! But at least it is bottomless and being cheapskate, we ordered one drink and shared among two.

What the Hack!!!
Filed Under me, life | 5 Comments
I am an ordinary person that would not attract any person on the passing street. Even in the virtual world, I am just so ordinary. My blogs aren't famous and aren't attracting many readers as well.
Everything is ordinary, nothing outstanding or eye-catching.
And so I thought, being so ordinary, I would be safe from being a prey of those stalkers.
And I thought I just need an ordinary password and ordinary security, being such an ordinary blogger with ordinary posts.
There isn't anything valuable here in my blogs that anyone would even care to put the slightest effort to access it in a harmful way.
Why would I even felt otherwise? Right?
Until on the last tired Sunday night, as usual, I opened a few blogs together to read (some are others blog and some are my own).
And I saw this :

I was TOTALLY STUNNED for a few seconds as I was trying to digest what was happening.
And after the fact sink in about 10 seconds later, I felt my heart dropped, it just felt so heavy. And my shoulder slumped as well.
Checking other domain of mine showing the same thing. For a sec, I thought that was end of it. I didn’t know what to do. /_\
And I couldn't understand why anyone would even want to hack my blogs, for crying out loud! T.T
It was enough that I had a long day last Sunday, trying to make a major decision. Now that this happened around 11pm, I guess it wouldn't help my insomnia at all! :(
But I guess I was lucky to have Kw to help me remove the hacker's file from the hosting the very next morning. Next, there was this problem of opening the subpage with date-month-format-URL.
It wasn't really solved yet but we got a temp solution from the hosting, Shinjiru. I am crossing my fingers that this would be fixed as soon as possible. I don't need another thing to worry about, since I have more than enough in my small, small head!
On top of that, the water-contractor was trying to create havoc right in front of my house since yesterday by replacing old pipe with new ones.

How they dig and dig and dig the road and in front of every houses with their tractor for the whole day till midnight!!! The noise is almost unbearable, especially at night. The car couldn't pass through the narrow road which has been conquered by the tractor and stuffs..
I guess that it resulted in bad feng shui which brought several major obstacles to me. Darn.
And there is no water resource since yesterday noon. I'm showering once a day instead of my regular twice since I am not sure how long with the water in the tank would last. /_\
Hai…I just want to be ordinary.
