Escaping The Reality..
Filed Under me, life | 14 Comments
Though much as I love reading novels, I still feel that it is a little too pricey to invest in expensive novels. They easily cost over twenty or thirty of bucks which I could finish within a week. Yes, I am a miser but there is so many things that I have to spend on apart from indulging into a good book that wouldn't last me for long. Economy's bad you know.
And thus, I always buy cheaper books, which cost less than ten or slightly more. And I buy second hand books and I also love book sales! But the choice is rather limited.
One of the school times that I really missed is of course borrowing book from the library! I would browse on the old bookshelves, looking for those haggard, yellowish novels; knowing well that those books are those frequently read and borrowed.
You can't find any good public library anymore, do you?
Thus I decided to rent those good novel again! Yay~!!! =D
It is totally much affordable than buying them. And I seldom re-read my book again! For a mere five bucks, I can cuddle with a good book for several nights in a week; escaping myself out of this depressing world.
And again, I am hooked to the magical world of reading. For a moment, I could just forget about the bitter stuffs and drown myself into another world.
Currently reading : A hilarious novel by Sophie Kinsella, Shopaholic & Baby. (I know I should start with Confessions of a Shopaholic but I couldn't find it the bookstore, and yeah, this'll do just perfectly)..

Pretty, pretty colours~
Filed Under thing, me, life | 7 Comments
Don’t you just love nail colours?
I do, I do!
I love the vibrant colours, the sweet colours or the bold colours of them!
I love the way they make your nails look pretty and neat.
And so I got myself another set of nail colours from Guardian at a fraction of price! A real steal not to be missed! (^.^)
And here are some of my old nail polish that hasn’t dried up.
And don’t you just drool looking at the delicious Som-Tam? It is papaya pok pok, a type of Thai food, I think it is a salad, from the Thai Fair near my office. It is made of payaya, vegetables and peanuts~
The spicy and sourish papaya salad is really appetizing and yummylicious! *drooling*

Cut Costs?!?!
Filed Under me, life | 11 Comments
Nowadays everywhere you go, you can see people trying to cut cost. Here are what I observed :
1. I used to be full and happy after a bowl of small size pork. But now, after finishing a bowl of noodle, I felt that it wasn't filling enough even though they have increased the price!
2. Yesterday I ordered a sizzling yee mee at the food court near my office. Normally they will put 1 piece of yee mee noodle. But yesterday I saw them breaking the 1 piece of yee mee and putting only 70% of it! I wasn't full after eating it! The price? More expensive than KLCC food court's sizzling yee mee!
3. I like to tabau (take away) dishes in a mixed rice stall near my house. My favourite is the shitake mushroom and pork (with no rice as I like to eat it with mee-hoon). It was always RM2.50 and now it is RM3!!! 20% increment!
4. The mee-siam auntie seller is almost refused to sell the small packet of mee siam. (if you insist of small, her face will be darker than the charcoal!) Pick either medium or large!
5. For the past couple of months, I couldn't get the Transnasional bus ticket for Friday evening which I never have problem before. From what I heard they have reduce the frequency to cut cost!
6. And yes, the Transnasional ticket agent counter at KL Central is closed down too! Man, that is such a strategic location; shouldn't they close down other ticket agent counters instead??
7. My office building that always switches off the centralised air conditioner by 5pm! And my working hour is till 6.30pm which makes me feel hot and stuffy!!! (=.=)”
8. And.. I always like the soft flowery toilet paper in the office building washroom. Hmm.. so soft and gentle.. nice…! But this couple of days I found out that it has been changed to rough, cheap toilet roll! Ewww… cut cost again! Cisss!!!–

Hybrid?

What are these?
Are they plants or are they birds?

These are my mother's pride and joy and she is very proud to plant it from seeds! I do not know what is the name of the plant but the "flower" seems to look like a little bird! With head, tail and wings too!
Anyone have seen this before or know the name of it?

Travelocity promo code
Yesterday I went for some shopping and bought some personal items and I thought I got a great deal! It always makes me happy to find something at great value; more to personal satisfaction I would say.
And so I was so shared the news with my good friend AV. And guess what she told me? She can always find good offer stuffs using online coupons! Ah, that’s another one of my favourite things! Enjoying a purchase at a much lower price than the others!
There are many coupons that you can find at Savings.com, you name it! From Apple Mac to software to mobile phone and even ordering flowers! There are many categories like clothing and accessories, cosmetic and skin care, sports and fitness and babies and automotive stuffs too.
Since I love to travel, I can’t help but to check out the many good deals that you can find using Travelocity promo code. For example you can save up to $70 or more for Las Vegas hotels and getting $199 for last minute deals for top destination! What a steal!
And yes, even with the economy slow down, I think it is still affordable to travel and buy something for the special someone with the coupon codes.

Good Bye, Mr. Lizzie!
Filed Under heaf, life | 10 Comments
I saw Mr. Lizzie again the other morning (about a couples of weeks ago, yeah, outdated post. You know, the virus.. XD).
He stood there motionless with the head tweaked slightly to the side; pretending to be dead when I saw him at one dirty corner while I was brushing my teeth in the morning.
It ain't moving.
Ahh.. stop pretending, I thought. (They are good at it, aren't they?)
And so I wet my fingers and sprinkle some holy tap water on it, half expecting it to scurry off my sight.
But it didn't.
Good act, I thought again. Oscar award!!!
And I left for work shortly, leaving Mr. Lizzie alone.
…
…
…
That very night, I saw Mr. Lizzie again.
Same spot.
Same pose.
Same deadly look in his eyes.
Awww,,, I think Mr. Lizzie is dead.
He is just so dead.
The poor little thing. (fake sympathy)
Life's short huh..
One minute he was roaming around the house happily with Mr.FatRat and another minute he was lying lifelessly leaving the house for Mr.FatRat to conquer alone.
So, who kills Mr.Lizzie?
