She was my first roommate in the hostel. I have been praying for her to come as I was so alone in the lonely hostel room on my own when I just went to uni!

After being roomie for a year in the hostel, we moved out to a rented house and she was my roomie for another 2 years. Next we had internship and after that we were housemate for another 5 months.

Yeah, so we were pretty close to each other and she was like an elder sister that always take care and look out for me. She was a huge chunk of my life during the uni year. After graduation, we went on with our path of lives but we never fail to keep in touch constantly. =)

And now she is finally married! I am glad she finally found the special someone and settling down! Well, I hope she would have a happy and loving life with the lucky groom! =)

It just feels a little strange that my good friend is now married and become someone’s wife. Someone that I do not know that well but pretty sure he is a good guy and will treat her right. I hope our friendship remains as strong as ever.

Well, here are some pics that we took during the wedding dinner at Batu Pahat.

Here comes the pretty bride and the lucky groom!

Let's take a picture of sisterhood~

Thanks to Mr.1K that offered to bring us round Muar on the way to Yun’s wedding at Batu Pahat. I thought I have been to Muar before as the town looks familiar, at least I remember the bridge but I just couldn’t recall when and why I was there! Ahh.. my memory going down the drain!

Mr.1K brought us to taste the scrumptious food rojak and the cooling desserts that was so appetizing after a long 2 hour ride from KL! Yum yum.. =)

The place is at Jeti Tanjung Muar Emas by the Muar river (I believe) and it was quite a big park with many local visitors!

We strolled along the river, took some pictures and analysing the pretty strangers that hold hand, trying to sort out the relationship of 2 girls and a guy. Yeah, it’s pretty complex when 3 of them were holding hand together!

After that, Mr.1K bought us some famous superlicious otak-otak, prawn and fish flavours! Due to our greediness, I forgot to take pics of it! But it was really yummy!

After that, we continued the journey to Batu Pahat and I have to put on my make up in the bumpy ride car. =)

I think I need yet another credit card. I have been using HSBC for the past 3 years and it has offers a terrific service. But I have seen other credit card that let you earn cash back on purchases you made. I am also interested in credit card with no annual fees as well as no balance transfer for as long as 15 months!

Yes, there are indeed different credit cards for different individual needs and therefore we can find the credit cards that are suitable for us at Credit-Land. I’d like to Apply for a credit card that let me earn rewards when I travel as I travel quite frequently.

Well, as credit card owners, we must always make sure that we are always updated with the news of card protection security which can be found at the website. Do check out on other useful tips like how to lower the interest rate of your credit cards and getting the approval of the cards that you want!

Again, the mid autumn festival is here again soon. Since young, my family doesn't that put much importance to this festival, or so I felt. Of course as kids, we loved playing with fire and lanterns and went round the 'kampung' with the neighbors'' kids.

We even played it during the university years and once at Taiping lake. Ain't doing that no more. I am a grown woman now. So, no more lanterns for me (or maybe no one is playing with me anymore).  =D

Anyway, as usual, mooncake is a must for this festival and I would buy a box for my parents. Same as last year, I got my mooncakes from Thai Thong, not because it is extra delicious or better than others. Simply because I could get
30% discount as my housemates are working with banks and could get them cheaper.

I don't understand why Thai Thong only offers the discount voucher to the banks. Why not to other MNC or companies?
Well, even after the discounts, it ain't really cheap at about
RM33 a box of 4! Else it would be about hefty RM46! Arrghh.. blood sucking, overrated and too commercial mooncakes!

There are also many fanciful flavors of the mooncakes such as aloe vera and mango, spicy shrimp flavour, green tea, fruity, nutty, and you name it! Some people still prefers the traditional lotus and red bean but for me, I am up to trying new flavors. How bout you?

Well, Happy Mooncake cum Mid Autumn cum Lantern Festival to all of you! =)

Here are my first purchases from Lowyat.net with AV, with the influence from Baby Fiona. After trying those products, she gave rather positive comments.

And thus, being so “woman-y”, we wanted to try them out too after reading the impressive comments from those users in the forum at Lowyat.net! Ahh… tempted!

And I here I present you the black charcoal masque that is suppose to remove those impurities and dirt and grimes and whatever not from you face! It is peel off masque which I find rather good! =D

And these are the ampoules with many different functions; whitening, purifying, clarifying and etc! At first we wanted to try a box to share between us. Just one box with 10 ampoules inside.

But as we discover more different type of ampoules, we thought of getting a box each. And looking at the price and thinking that it might goes up, we agreed that 1.5 box each is reasonable. We were so tempted to get 2 boxes each but finally decided to stick to 1.5 box first! Phew~

Hope they works well~ =D

Stress, no?

There were once I have many pimples on my cheek (not that now I do not still have many pimples sprouting on my stupid face), my dentist asked me "What's wrong with your face?", indicating those acnes.

"Stress lor", I said, with my mouth wide opened while he inspected it. (I’ve been trained to speak with mouth opened by him!)

"Yeah right You must be joking!"
he said without a flicker of doubt!!!

Aiks.. how come he don't believe that I am ever possible to be under stress!?!?! (=.=)"

Hmm.. must behave more serious and *stressed* next time I visit him!

P/S : It's nice to be able to call some dentist as 'my dentist' in the sense that I always go to the same dentist that have my dental record (even though the clinic a bit run down but it's alright coz he wont read my blog or at least he don't have the time to read it as he is working 24×7)!

P/S 2
: I am now hoping to have my 'own hairstylist' that know all about my hair and know what is best for my hair and have the expertise and make me comfortable and at the same time listen to my ranting/problem, that's their informal job scope, no? (
and I can get sincere hair advise without having them trying to fork more profit or sell me products like most hairstylist trying to do..)

I remember visiting the Winchester house near to Santa Clara and I fell in love with the lovely colorful windows in the huge mansion. It was really a pretty thing especially when the sun shines into the window early in the morning or evening. Thus I am thinking to get some adhesive-free decorative window films from wallpaperforwindows.com! They have a range of beautiful and colorful high quality wallpaper that you can stick on your window or door glass as decoration or to increase privacy! It also has up to 95% of UV rays filter that can protect your carpet and furniture from fading! I can’t wait to get the FREE Decorative Window Film Catalog so that I can find lovely window wallpaper that matches my home. =)

The only thing that I really like about fasting month for the Muslim is the Pasar Ramadhan! There are so many stalls with many different type of foods such as fried noodles, percik chicken, satay, variety of kueh, murtabak, drinks and others! Yum~

I noticed there is a Pasar Ramadhan nearby my office last Thursday but I didn’t have a chance to try them till today!

So I quickly leave office at 6.35pm, hoping that they haven’t sold out yet.

Finally decided to have a ayam percik and murtabak ayam for dinner. Only to realise that I had black pepper chicken chop rice for lunch! Ahh.. so much chicken today!

Anyway it was rather nice although quite sinful! ;)

P/S : Another thing I like about fasting month is right after that, 2 days of Hari Raya holiday! ;)

Finally, someone I am very close to was getting married! Or should I said, married! Yeah, it was my best friend’s wedding at Batu Pahat yesterday!

And thus some of my friends and I travelled south (a day trip) to celebrate with her.

It was a joyous occasion especially after the dinner which another good pal of mine and the bride got to catch up at the bride's house (while the guys sit back and listen or watch TV)! :D

And after that, just right before midnight, my friends and I travelled back to KL and I had to keep the driver entertained so he would be alert for the whole journey.

Reached KL nearly around 2.45am and accidentally washed my hair and I had to dry it before I slept. Finally crept to the bed around 3.30am. And I have to work today. (=.=)”

But I am working from home today, thank God. =)

Still, there’s plenty of work to be done today and a virtual-meeting to attend. (=.=)”

Photos will be up as soon as I finish my work, unpack my bags, do the laundry, clean my room and catching up with my much-needed-rest.

Meanwhile, let me crept back to work!   =(

Happy Crappy/Blue/I-Doubt-It’s-Exciting Monday everyone!

P/S : For best wedding photo, you should check out the wedding gallery of I Create Angel with many beautiful pictures!

More hapi stuffs happened to me on Friday! I felt that I am on top of the wheel of life. Sometimes you are on top and sometimes you are at the bottom.

Seeing the dentist gave me another reason to be very happy about. Something that I have waited for quite some time and impatiently! (^.^)

And about MATTA fair, though it is a challenging one, I do savour satisfaction from it at the end of the day after five hours of battling the crowd and scouring for the best deals ever!

To Huei, do STOP reading or else I can’t stop you from going to the Matta Fair! Don’t blame me! =D

I know what I want before I went to the Matta fair; which was to get a Bali Package and a local package (either Langkawi or Cameron Highland for my family trip which I couldn’t much recall we ever have one except the time we were kiddos).

And the Bali and Langkawi packages I got. And additional packages to Bangkok and Hangzhou/Shanghai/Suzhou/Wuxi! And it’s cheap, cheap, cheap!!!

I booked a
Go-Go-Combo ground packages to 3 countries at only RM499 per pax (of course not including those tipping, insurance and visa) and it is valid till next December 2009 from HwaJing Travel & Tours. NO KIDDING!!!

(They have limited of 500 combos and by the time I booked at around 4pm, more than 200 has been sold!)

First destination is of course to Bali, a 3D/2N free and easy with half day city tour at quite cool hotels. Second destination is Bangkok, also the same 3D/2N free and easy and half day city tour! I have found another reason to go splurging there! Muaahhahahaa

The third destination is to Hangzhou/Shanghai/Suzhou which is 5 days full board tour package! Not free & easy!!! Yupeee~ I found from other tour company, the cheapest I could find with surcharges is about RM550 and some are even at 700 (excluding flights)!

I thought my father wanna go to those places in China as I asked him the very morning but actually he was telling me that he has been there. Yeah, communication breakdown do happens between father and daughter. So, I guess it will be the first trip for me and my mum. Ahh.. pretty nervous when I think of that!

And the Langkawi package is per person for 3D/2N with stay at Hotel Helang and 24 hours car usage as well as Firefly flight tickets (including taxes & stuffs) at RM376 per pax. Quite a good deal, eh?

Total damage is about RM2504 for four trips~ (^.^)

Oh, I love Matta Fair, don’t you!?!

Are you tempted to look into others pc/laptop monitor when you pass them by? I try not to look whenever I can as I know it is very annoying to have others keep peering into your monitor, trying to see what you are doing! (=.=)"

In the office, I was sitting in a cubicle with my laptop facing inside the cubicle. Theoretically, everyone that passes by behind me, can peer to my screen without me knowing. I am alright with it.

But as I was always plugged with pc headset and constantly jolted when my colleague suddenly appeared from my back to talk to me, I put a small mirror so I am aware of those "visitors".

And soon enough, I find a colleague who loves to stare peep into my monitor screen almost every time she passes by my cubicle! (=.=)"

I tried to tell myself that it’s okay as sometimes people are just curious now and then. Thus the peep show.

But her continual attitude really put me off. Just mind your own business, will you?!? I have never even had one glance at her monitor LCD all these while (not that I get to do so at the first place as she was sitting at a corner). But still.. :P

But I also discover that another colleague of mine that have constant view of my laptop monitor screen from her cubicle rarely even glance at my way. Thanks for the privacy (even at work)!

So how do you deal to those uninvited-peepers at work?

P/S : Other than that, she’s an OK colleague.

P/S 2
: Matta Travel Fair is coming on this weekend on 5th – 7th Sept 2008 at PWTC ! Yay!!! Time to get good travel deal~ v(^.^)v
