Deepavali is here again! Last year, we only visited Renu’s house as Parames was still way in Sulawesi, pursuing her 2nd degree in medicine. But she’s finally back for good and yeah, hopefully this year Deepavali will rock!

Last year, my parents even joined me to visit Renu’s house and thus I skipped Prakash’s house visiting! It was the first time my parents went to Deepavali visiting with me at my childhood best friend’s house. I remembered going to Kluang Station after that at Tesco, Malacca for tea break with my parents! Ahh.. how time flies! It was already a year ago!

I’ll be taking evening bus today to go back to my hometown. Tomorrow we’ll go visiting and I am so looking forward those yummy food from them! Last year, there were tosai, rice, chicken and mutton curry, acar (vegetables) and putu mayam! *drool*

It is one of our visiting tradition that is still strong among my group of friends and I hope it will last for many, many years to come! ^.^

It is a love-hate relationship between me and my retainer. I hate wearing it but subconsciously if I didn’t have it in my mouth, I will miss it.

There are a few times where I almost forgot to wear it or even almost lost it once. The other day when I left my home for work in the morning, walking to the LRT, I realised that it wasn’t in my mouth! No wonder it felt quite empty and nice. I have to turn back home and get it which made me a little late to work! But I couldn’t do without retainer for the whole day.

Then yesterday during lunch time, I went for take-away from the canteen as I was very busy at work. Upon reaching my office, the courier man had a parcel for me which I happily signed and took it to my cubicle. Excitedly I opened the parcel and then resume to work.

Suddenly I realised that the retainer wasn’t in my mouth again! I looked for it frantically on my work desk and at the reception. It wasn’t there! But after some searching, I found it in the plastic of my take-away lunch! Thank God..

It was quite a long day of work yesterday and I finally left a little later than usual. I was glad to finally leave the office and paced quickly to catch the train as the sky was getting darker. Then I realised that again that my bite was light and empty. The retainer wasn’t in my mouth again!

I must have left it in the office building toilet. And thus, I practically ran back to the building and took the lift up. Someone was occupying the cubicle that I used just now and I waited patiently for her to come out. Thank God, the retainer was still folded nicely in a tissue paper, on the container of the toilet roll.

I just couldn’t imagine the reaction of my dentist if he ever found out that I lost the precious retainer. Guess I better get a nice container to put it in rather than folding it with tissue paper when I wasn’t using it (during eating time). Maybe stick my name and phone and address to the container as well?

I hate it but I can’t live without it.. Blush

I am back from 2 days of rest at my hometown. It has been good although on Saturday I had real bad flu and headache and slight fever.

But after drowning a Clarinase flu pill and a Panadol on Saturday night, I felt brand new on Sunday! Really, sometimes drug does works like magic. But the thing is to keep it low and take in once in a while for it to works, or so I felt. My nose was cleared and I could almost sing. ^.^

And today, my big boss will be here for a couple of days. I wondered if it is a coincidence with a colleague that is leaving on Tuesday. A farewell for him? I doubt so. Anyway we had a farewell lunchie for him at Kenny Rogers’ last Thursday among us.

It is the first person leaving after I joined this company for around 10 months. The same fella that went to US with me for training. Well, my farewell wishes for him is good luck in his new endeavour in a company with over 200 people in TPM (any company that you know of?)

Happy Monday, everyone! =)

The other day I saw a promotion from Air Asia especially for the credit card holder only. I was so tempted to apply it and thus went to the website and fill up my information. The card centre officer called me up a few times and asked me to fax over my details. I was quite reluctant to do so as the promotion was over and she was getting a little too pushy. Besides, the card doesn’t gives me as much reward as I like.

Now I am thinking of apply for credit card for people with excellent credit. I have been using credit cards for over 3 years and I have never missed a single payment. Thus I am looking for a zero annual fee card with high credit limit and cash reward.

At Credit Room, I could find comparisons for different credit cards especially catered for women and based on my requirement. It is a very informative website where I could find a lot of useful information about the different of credit cards in the market. I can easily choose a credit card that suits my lifestyle and gives me the maximum rewards!

Lately, I feel that I have been forced to be quite productive at work due to a new guy in the team that has been practically taking over the team.

With the upcoming release date of the software, he has been quite anxious and came out with many plans and long emails. It makes me feel quite stress which really doesn’t help to eliminate the acnes on my face!

I couldn’t even find time to blog at work anymore as I could sometimes in the past. But then, it makes me feel that time is passing faster and I am not dreading work as I used to. Plus productivity makes me feel good about myself albeit the stress.

Thank God it’s already Friday! Am gonna savour the 2 days of rest!

Happy weekend everyone! Innocent

I need to exercise. Or so I have been told.

I need to exercise. Though I am skinny.

I need to exercise. For health reason. For cholesterol reason.

It’s end of the year already! Which means I’ll be going for my annual medical check up again! This time it will be critical as I want my cholesterol level to DROP. To borderline level at least. And thus I am making extra effort to exercise. No, it’s not cheating.

And thus I tried to make the effort by going to the TTDI hiking a few weeks ago. On Monday, I wake up earlier for a jog at nearby park. Two weeks ago, we tried cycling in Botanical Garden at Putrajaya. It didn’t sweat as much as the one at Bukit Cahaya (Taman Pertanian) Shah Alam.

But the Botanical garden is quite pretty, and so I ended up taking more picture than doing the cycling.

It is open from Tuesday to Sunday and you can rent bicycle or tandem there. Bicycle 1 hour is about RM3/4 for a bicycle on weekend (2 hours on weekday). Tandem is RM7 an hour. It opens from 9am onward.

Here are two pictures of non-me, the beautiful Putrajaya.

If you do like cute stuffs, you probably will like this. If you like mini stuffs, you probably will like this too. If you don’t like both cute and mini stuffs, you still probably will like this!

I like this very much!

I went to Flea market in Amcorp Mall last month to return a book there. I have been to the weekend flea market quite a few times but this time round, I find something that is very interesting and lovely! Something different from the usual antiques, old clothes, toys, books, magazines, foods, accessories and weird and odd stuffs.

It is mini cakes decorations that just swept my heart away. I think Pink Cotton would love this too, as she collects many cute miniature stuffs too!

You can write little message on the mini cakes, such as Congratulations or Happy Birthday to someone or even anniversary (now that’s a cute gift, isn’t it!)

Many people were attracted to her little handcraft which she did herself, sticking those little parts together to build a cake or something.

Lovely, isn’t it? Kiss

Pappa Rich~

Breakfast is always one of my favourite meals as it is simple and light and I can drink my coffee or tea! Not to mention that I always feel hungry without food intake for 8-10 hours. Good enough reason, especially the coffee. Cool

Thus, I always reward myself with good breakfast to start a good day; good doesn’t necessarily mean healthy here.

The other day I tried out breakfast at Pappa Rich, nearby to Section 14, PJ. I have passed that new building many times and have been eyeing the new café at the corner.

The price is like Kopitiam or slightly more pricey and the food is OK. The ambience was very pleasant and nice. I like the white coffee which was thick and creamy! But the half boiled eggs were a little too cooked for our liking.

Overall it was okay and might return for second visit, but not so soon.

I have came across this title many times before, whether it was from reading a book or watching a movie. And yeah, I have to admit I have no idea what the story was about.

But I was curious about it as the title was rather cute, or dangerous. And thus I finally downloaded the movie.

It was an old movie alright. In fact it was in black and white! And so I wasn’t very keen of watching it and kept it for a few months.

But as I was quite boring last week, I thought maybe I could have a quick view on what was it about. But when I started on the movie, I couldn’t stop till I finish watching it!!

It was really an exceptional and inspiring movie. No wonder it ranked no.2 by the American Film Institute on the 100 Most Inspiring Movies of All Time in 2006 and ranked as the #25 Greatest Movie of All Time in 2007!

It was about a lawyer who defended a black man when he was accused of raping a white girl during the 1930s in a racial era. It was also about two children and the discrimination of the black and mentally retarded people. I love the little girl, Mary Badham who acted so well in the movie.

I am glad I watched it. Now I am hoping to read the novel itself as it is a best book ever written. =)

I suddenly thought of it early this October. It was suppose do be every Sept and March/April. But this year I didn’t hear of it. None. Have I missed it? Oh no…  O.O

I have been religiously celebrating it for about 3 years already, twice a year. And I just couldn’t wait for it to come again.

And then I do what I do best, I googled : RM2 Sushi King Promotion Bonanza 2009 on Kaiten Belt. Yes, RM2 for a plate of sushi of rice based!

And ah, I found it! What a relief. I suppose they have postponed it to October instead of the usual September due to the fasting month for Muslim.

After a tipping of PinkCotton from her blog, I decided to get Sushi King membership for Year 2009 myself! Yay!

And do not miss great event of cheap sushi. I will pounce at those yummy unagi and prawns and let’s forget about cholesterol for a while. It will be a reason for us to meet up again, me & my girls. ^.^

The auspicious date is from 13 – 15 Oct 08 for West Malaysia and 20-23 Oct 08 for East Malaysia. Can’t wait!
