The Cycling Day~!
Filed Under heaf, photo, fun, friend | 8 Comments
Our Genting Highland 1 day trip plan went down to drain when it rained over the weekend as in predicted in the weather forecast. So, we went to Bukit Cahaya or also known as Taman Pertanian at Shah Alam for cycling session instead.
It turned out to be rather fun and enjoyable outdoor activities. Even Yit who doesn't know how to cycle could do it once she got onto the bike. Check out some of the pics that we took!

Ready to start cycling!

Taking the pictures of pretty but arrogant peacock, who immediately opened up his beautiful feathers/tail upon seeing us!!!

Some animals at the Taman Haiwan~

And horses too! But they aren't as friendly as we thought!

Foursome~!

The scenery was nice too, greenish and peaceful!

The 4-Season-House was closed for renovation but we could take a peek there. RM3 for entrance but it was free during renovation~

Some pictures before we left!
It's nice to have some sort of outdoor activities sometimes instead of shopping and watching movies like we always do~

I Hope They Rot!!!

“I couldn’t find my wallet,” my friend said casually this morning. “But I believe it must be somewhere in my room.”
“Are you sure it is not stolen or lost?” I asked suspiciously and he rejected the idea, pretty sure that it was somewhere in his room.
He came to our house again in the afternoon.
“So, have you found your wallet?” I asked him.
“No, I couldn’t find it anywhere!” he remarked.
After some analysing, I concluded that his wallet has been stolen as he was staying in the room at the back of the house. He always leaves his window wide opened and left his wallet on the table! Gosh!!!
I have warned him the day he moved into the room that he must be careful of his stuffs as he is staying at the back room and it is prone to burglary. I faced it before in my last year of university when I stayed in the back room too.
I remembered going for dinner with my friends and when we were home, I just put my purse on the table. Then I went to my room friend for a short chat. I couldn’t find it after a little while and then saw my hanger which was near my table was straightened and was outside my window!
The thief had cleverly used my hanger to reach my purse! Damn him, the useless, stupid thief who couldn’t decently work for a living!!! It was my second or third time losing my purse and I really hate to do my identification card again and was really afraid of getting a red I/C! (>_<)"
Anyway, after hearing my experiences, my friend recalled seeing some dust at one of the window and some sign of break in. Somehow, he took it calmly and I was even more agitated and frantic than him, though it was his first time losing his wallet! Weird..

Assignments!!!
Filed Under friend | 7 Comments
“So, when will you graduate from your Master course,” I asked my friend again.
“As soon as I finish my research paper,” he said promptly.
“What’s stopping you then?”, I asked again, curious this time as he has been delayed graduating from his Master course for over a year!
“Well, I am busy with work and I do not have much time to do it,” he moaned.
I remembered when I was in university; we would try to get help from the seniors. A housemate of mine had close friendship with the seniors and he would approach them for assistance in the coursework. Sometimes the seniors even passed down their assignments for us as reference! But gone are the days where I need to do assignments on last minute and till late midnight. Thank God!
I suppose more than one of my friends is in that situation, unable to finish up their master course as they are too busy to prepare for the final paper. It is quite a common scenario where graduates are not able to finish up their essay writing. Some opt for custom writing help by professionals where they are able to assist in writing quality custom term paper to speed up their graduation.

Deepavali 2007~
Filed Under festival, photo, friend, food | 19 Comments
One of the only times I get to gather with my best buddies from secondary school (some from primary school, so we practically know each other for 20 years!) is during festival like Chinese New Year and Deepavali. Though some of us are in KL, we just seldom meet up. So this Deepavali, I determined to go back to Malacca even though I have to work on the next day.
I only visited Renu’s house as Parames is not back from Indonesia yet! Since my parents were coming with me, for the very first time for Deepavali visiting, I didn’t join the rest to Prakash’s house either. It was a simple and happy Deepavali to meet all of them here! Renu’s mum prepared some delicious food for our lunchie.
Here goes de pics :
There are tosai, rice, chicken and mutton curry, acar (vegetables) and the white one, forgot the name!
The mutton, yummy~
I like the thick curry chicken, very nice to eat with the tosai and rice!
Refreshing acar to go with the food~
She gives us a banana leaf to put our food, nice~

Winter Warmer at The Curve~
Filed Under friend, food | 17 Comments
I’ve always wanna try the Winter Warmer place at The Curve for quite some times now, after seeing many good reviews about it. But, due to lack of activities, I didn’t have a chance till last weekend. WL and CC welcomely accepted my suggestion.
The atmosphere inside the place~
Well, I just love the British-feel of the place. Very soft, warm and british! The atmosphere was perfect for us to catch up after years of separations.
Blue Moon,the non-caffeine-herbal tea that I had!
I ordered ‘Blue Moon’ drink, a mixed of a few herbals, one of them was rose. The taste was mildly fragrance, very pleasant indeed especially when you tipped in some honey. We also ordered a tuna waffle after high recommendation from the waitress, even right after our lunch. It was really a nice blend of tuna, waffle and mayonnaise.
The tuna waffle, around RM10.90~
It is really a nice place with fabulous ambience for tea and chatz~

Somehow, I like their curtains~
Will be back in the future~

The Pleasantly Unexpected Weekend Visitor~
Filed Under fun, friend, weekend | 8 Comments
My mobile phone rang at 8.03am on the Friday morning, a number from Singapore but wasn’t from my phonebook. Curiously, I answered the call and hey, it was my best buddy from Singapore, we used to be roommate in university and housemates as well. The last time I seen her was in Singapore May 2005!
WL asked me if I would be around in Kuala Lumpur for the weekend. I would be practically alone since nearly everyone was going to be outstation this weekend. I just plan to have my own 2 days to rest, surf net and read the new book that I am currently hooked up to (The Memory Keeper’s Daughter). I said yes! She had this sudden urge to come to KL and plan to drive here if her friend would come with her.
Apparently, her friend thought it was too short a notice and said no. So, after WL sent her brother to the airport at 4am on Saturday morning, she drove all the way to KL, alone! She met up with another good buddy of mine, CC which we haven’t met since graduation, more than 5 years ago! Four of us (including another girl that recently move to Aussie) were very close and did everything together in the hostel. One of my best years ever~
So, this entire weekend basically transported me back to my younger years. At least it felt so, with them around and it really was a great weekend albeit WL’s short notice to us. I slept over at CC’s apartment in Sri Petaling with WL on Saturday night. How we talked and talked and talked as if there wasn’t a 2 or 5 missing years between us. And I suppose it was due to our closeness in the past that we didn’t feel awkward for the lost time.
CC has grown into a wise young lady, still a very caring friend; which like a mother who always takes care of us. She is still very neat and clean. WL hasn’t changed much either, still like a child who is pampered by everyone. And she still continues eating after complaining that she is very full! Habits don’t change easily, do they?
Beside having a great time catching up, we also have eat too much sinful but yummy food : ikan bakar (fish), satay, grilled chicken wing, fried minsin, European food at TJ and others. Just felt full most of the time. We started with a tea session after lunch at Winter Warmer, The Curve, dinner with other friend, pasar malam (night market).
On Sunday, I had my first reflexology session at Comfort/Yoga Zone in Endah Parade. It was by a shy Balinese guy who has work in Malaysia for the past 6 months. I guess my kidney and liver aren’t too good! Drink more water, he advised. After a sumptuous lunch at Subang, we headed to Sunway Parade shopping mall for some shopping. Fun but a little too tired now. Is it age?
Anyway, I am really glad that WL has this sudden impulse to make a trip to KL. I just miss the good old days that we used to have. It would have been perfect if Yun was here too.

Mooncake Festival Dinner at Marche~
Filed Under festival, photo, fun, friend, food | 13 Comments
What’s happier than spending a happy dinner with friends at Marche, The Curve on a Mooncake Festival? It was buffet dinner at RM38.88++ excluding beverages, a rather reasonable price, which was actually for “Buka Puasa Buffet”.
I went with nearly all my housemates, Tung, KW and YC and had a really nice, filling dinner with a lot of salmon, fresh prawns, muttons, sausages and a lot more!
The ambience is very cool and nice, I like it a lot. Except for the part where you take ur food, it’s a little too smoky.
The fake fireplace, seems like a see quite many lately.
That’s me and Seanlel (my housemate!)
Keeyit (my housemate too!!) with YC (he ate the most, so really worth it to bring him to buffet!!!)~
Seanlel with KW~
Keeyit and Tung.
That's SST!!!
The foods was rather good, especially the prawn, very sweet & tender!
Yummy prawn, mussels & delicious whipped potatoes~
Smoked Salmon Salad~
When we reached home, we just played with candles instead of lantern. Reason? We didn’t get any lanterns! (so much of a good planning) And ate minimal mooncakes as all of us were too full but we had chamomile tea with a lemon and a lot of laughers & chats to help digestion~
It’s a good night, which I hope we can have more often.

Happy Mooncake Festival~!!!
Filed Under festival, friend | 11 Comments
Today is the special day for Chinese! Yeah, I am chinese~! It is the mooncake festival day but I don’t exactly remember the story behind it. Hmm.. was it something about a paper with message secretly tucked into the mooncake so that the enemy couldn’t find out? Something like that I believe. No? Wait, is that for the dumpling story? Hmm…
But still it is a joyous occasion where people eat mooncake and play lantern. I do too, though not a big fan of mooncake, I don’t mind taking a few pieces especially now they have so many fancy flavours. This year, I bought 8 pieces (7 from Thai Thong & 1 from Purple Cane). 4 for my parents and 4 for my own! Muahahaahhaa..
I like the fancy flavours like the Vanilla Tiramisu, Berries Delights and Green Tea but my colleague said it’s just too fancy! And I prefer the snow skin compared to the normal one. Not too into the yolk mooncake but don’t mind having them either. It’s actually very high in cholesterol, so might as well as don’t like them, rite?
Anyway, tonight, I am looking forward a decent dinner with my friends at The Curve. Probably settled at Marche for the buffet if no last minute changes and not too packed as it is break fast time. Or maybe TGIF? Or Shabu Shabu? What about Manhattan Fish Market, my fav! Aivy suggested Winter Warmer too..
Maybe lantern session after that if it’s not too late and we managed to get some lanterns? Nah, we are certainly not too old for it! ^.^
Happy Mooncake Festival anyone~! Be happy okay~
