Uninvited Guests..

I always thought that it was only five of us that rent this house; my housemates and I. Little did I know that there are more than 5 occupants that make themselves comfortable and at home here!
Yes, rats! I believe there is more than one fat rat staying with us! Lately I heard scrurrying noise by the rats but I couldn’t detect where it came from. I thought it was at his ‘house’ at the back of the washing machine but it wasn’t.
One day I thought it was coming from the back of the fridge and the other day I thought it was from gas tank (and please, Mr. Rat, don’t bite on the gas tube! Or else we shall go to die together..).
Today as I heard more carefully I finally discovered that the stinky, shameless creature was staying on top of our ceiling!
I could hear the exact scraping sound made by the creature’s nail when I was renting my room in another house 5 years ago! That time a mother cat gave birth to her litter in the roof, right on top of my room and the sound of the scratching nails on the ceiling drove me crazy!
We don’t know what to do with the Mr.Rat or how to make him leave (if he is not paying for the rent). It has helped himself twice on our instant noodles and the leftover food in the trash (and whatever food he could access to and leave his ‘chocolate cakes’ all over the place! Yeewwww!!!).
I heard him loud and clear today making his way in the dustbin as he rummaged for his dinner! Well, you see, I am not his opponent, and so I quickly closed the kitchen door so Mr. Rat couldn’t access to the living room!!!
And the very same night, I discovered that shameless Mr.Lizzie (lizard) has also makes himself comfortable at our home and gave me a good fright by jumping out of the rice cooker in the sink! Darn..

Let Go of My Mouse!

Do you ever have the urged to wipe clean your mouse when someone borrows it for a moment to check something on your pc? After he left, you have the tendency to pull a tissue and raucously rub every corner of it?
Well, I do! Sometimes I just couldn't help myself as I felt that my mouse hygiene has been assaulted! So I took the tissue and rubbed it vigorously, hoping to wipe out whatever particles and oil that has landed on the back of my poor mouse!
After a good scrub (but still wishing that I have my wet tissue with me), I quickly ran to the washroom and pour a generous amount of soap to my hand and lathered it thickly on my both of my hands. Feels good to wash off with cool running water after that.
And you wish he never have to use your mouse again. *sigh*

Crooks are around us!!!

Over tea yesterday, I heard something horrible from my colleagues and I believe that everyone would have heard of something familiar happened to their friends or family. Probably not the exact scenario but something as frightful as well.
A few seconds later, the same two Indian men on motorbike returned and smashed the car’s side window with a parang (big chop knife)!!! Then they shoved the knife to his neck and demanded him to hand over his wallet and belongings. Well, he had to do as instructed, as the parang was at his neck (even leave a mark now). >_<
Man.. it happened when he was in his car, right in front of his own house!!!
Another case : the colleague who sat next to me is on emergency leave yesterday. He sms-ed us that his house was broke in yesterday night and all the grills were cut. >_<
It was one of the many stories I heard and it happened to me too (different scenario, but also 2 Indian men on bike). There is no more security even outside our own house, even if we are in the car and even happens to guys as well! What’s happening to our country?!? We read them everyday in the newspaper, read them in the forwarded emails and friend, colleagues and family told us first or second hand news that happened around them.
Things are getting out of hands; it is no longer a safe place, even in your own house or car. >_<
