Yesterday morning I had the urge to rearrange my room again! Yup, for the 3rd times in 10 months! Reason was simple; with my current room arrangement, I am sleeping directly under the ceiling fan! And from my medical report, my Rheumatoid Factor (angin/fongsap) is 6 instead of the best 3! Ought to do something bout it!

In my 2nd room arrangement, some few months ago, I purposely put my bed directly under the ceiling fan so that it is not so warm on those long, hot, summer night! (doesn’t matter if Malaysia is summer all the time, but some nights are just warmer than others!)

And I have to move my Ikea table to the other side of the room, away from the main lamp in my room! Thinking of putting the floor lamps which I got from Ikea to the side of my table or probably get a table lamp.

Anyway, yesterday night itself, I am thinking of relocate my table again..!

To all Malays out there, SELAMAT HARI RAYA & MAAF ZAHIR & BATIN!!!

To all non-Malay out there, HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Watch out for black MyVi 16XX! Don't get too near to it and give way, okay! LOLz..

Here I go~~ Vrooommm~~

Everyday Weekender is a fun blog that writes about a lot of stuffs, such as the cottage life and oh, yes, food! Now he’s up to more fun, which is giving free links if you are kind enough to review his blog. I think it’s a good deal, don’t you?

Pssstthe got PR5!!! Worth it ler!!!

Or else you can just pop over for his recipe & how to cook! *grin* Cool

The other night, while me and my housemates are excitedly surfing the internet in the living room when my Dell laptop battery was blinking furiously in orange light..

Ooopss.. running out of battery soon.. So I went to retrieve the charger from my room and plugged into the extension nearby. You see, there was already three power plugs plugged on the extension, one for the modem and two for the computer (CPU and monitor) that Yit was using. So I put mine on the forth socket and plugged in the charger to my laptop..

Hmm.. after plugging in, the orange LED was still blinking furiously. So, grumpily, I went to check at the extension and the power plug was quite loose on the socket, probably I pulled the cable too much just now. So I gave the power plug a little push and … *POOFFF*!!!

I stood there, stoned for few seconds.. The extension had exploded..! After recovering from the shock, I quickly checked my beloved Dell laptop. Phew..~ it was okay! Took out the charger from the laptop before any more damage was done.. >_<

Yit, ssteoh and I were convinced the modem was deadagain. Shit. We took out the extension and plugged in the modem power plug to the main socket. No response.. /_\

(The world was so dark and the sky seemed to be falling.. remember Chicken Little?)

Tried the modem other power socket and… it works!!! ^.^

Lesson learnt : never to overload the power extension/socket even though there is four sockets, use only three maximum!!!

But then again, the power supply in my current HEAF house has always been weak.. like me.. Aaacchoomm..*sneeze*

My manager had been requesting us to work for weekends for the past two weeks. He used to ask us cautiously in a nice manner.

But today at our usual Friday meeting, he casually said for the weekend, we would focus on the urgent and high bug reports.

Yes!! The way he said was as if weekend is normal working day!!!

Arrgghh.. I need my rest.. I think I’ll be back on Sunday instead of Saturday to work.. =(

I remembered my first time watching the movie Harry Potter and I was mesmerized by the magical world with a cute little boy, getting poor treatment from his uncle and aunty. And it was cool to see them learning new magic with the wand and the white lovely owl. A really exciting, fresh idea of a movie~

But watching the latest Harry Potter last week, I realized that he has grown up to a teenager, not yet a man and wasn’t as cute as he was. The movie was quite a dread, having me looking at the watch at least 5 times during the show, waiting for it to be over. I felt that it was as if they’re making the movie for the sake of making and me watching for the sake of watching..

Didn’t derive much pleasure from it, although it was my first experience watching at the Imax theater.

Tuesday 31st July 2007.. 12.42am

Oh shit, it’s back again! I simply hate it! Insomnia! I have been feeling so tired just now and my eyes were heavy. But then I got excited and then I read a good book, couldn’t bear to put it down..

Then I finally put it down and try to sleep. But so many things are running through my head, and it frantically go through everything, from my MSN chatting, to my monthly financial budget, to the wedding dinner invitations I have been receiving, to work, to housemate and everything at all~
And it refuses to stop!!!

I tossed and turned and tossed and turned on my bed.. and my mind seems to get more energetic by the minute.. And I know the clock is ticking away and I tried to concentrate to sleep..

I know if I don’t sleep by now I would be a walking zombie tomorrow, with much darker shade of eyes that I currently have and yawning all day. It doesn’t help knowing those thing would happen as it only put pressure to my enthusiastic-at-the-wrong-time-stupid-head..

A mental note to myself; must drink my chamomile tea again tomorrow night. Haven’t been drinking it for months and it is suppose to helps in relaxing and promote good sleep..

It is 12.42am now.. and I shall continue tossing and turning, hope not for too long..

Good night..

I am wearing a new pair of white wedge shoes to work; my 4th pair of new shoes this month!!! I don’t know if it is the carnival sales or just trying to replace my old shoes or trying retail therapy again, feeling rather miserable last week..

And heck, out of the four pairs, this is one of the two that goes to the category that blister my toes! It is a pretty pair, white with bold gold buckle in front and it was comfy when I put it on last Friday at Times Square and looks very pretty~ ^.^

But today after 7 min walk to the LRT train station, half an hour standing in the train, another 5 minutes up to my office, the front portion of the shoes seems tight. I hope it would be loosened after a few wears and not end up like the lacy brown wedge that I have only wore once since buying it >.<

This is not the original picture of my shoes but it looks a little bit like this~

It is 8.21 am on a Monday morning and I am supposed to be out of the door to work. But it is raining and it is getting heavier so I decided to step in and wait for another 10 minutes or so. After all, many people are late to my office, why should I always be the one who is punctual!!!

I am feeling a little rebellious at work for the past week, feeling unfair and upset about their decision. A lot of excuses given, which I couldn’t accept it too well. Maybe it’s time? I am quite ready, and I am motivated to do so at the moment and SS is worried that I would do it when she’s not around next two weeks for India. Heck, I didn’t even get to go to India, not to mention Delft!

The rain seems to be falling heavier by the minute. Maybe it’s time for me to declare a MC. I hardly take MC, only once this year, once last year and none on year 05. While some of my colleague takes it monthly or every two months! But I guess I won’t, I’ve been trained by my mother since young not to take sick leave, since I was Primary 1! I remembered I didn’t take any sick leave that year when I was seven!!!

Drizzling rain now~ Gotta go to work!

Of all the sad things in my office recently (some which I have not written here) I think there is a happy one, or I think it should bring at least some threads of happiness to other colleagues. My company, I suspected spent over a million ringgit to get new powerful pc for all of us!!

Yeah, it arrived yesterday, Dell Optiplex 745 - Core Duo E6600 (2.40Ghz/1066Mhz/2MB,Int NIC) with 4GB RAM and 160GB harddisk!

The cost? RM 3,890.00!!!

A rather impressive and powerful machine; thus no more excyse for us to complain that our productivity is low due to the slow machine!

I came early to office again this morning at 8am as I need to go off early at 5pm to go the dentist again. My least favorite time of the month but heck, I’ve been delaying it for too long. My manager saw me this morning with the PDA on my table. Guess what! He asked me to keep it when I said I’ll return after I use it in a day or two! *smirk*

But then again, I didn’t really want to keep it as it means responsibility as there’s many theft cases in the office lately. So now have to lock the drawer every day, or else..

P/S: I’ve successfully configured the PDA for testing without her help at all!!! =P TFR297

Yet another colleague is leaving and my manager asked me to take over her 2 modules. I was quite happy to do it as I am already bored with what I am currently doing. Beside I was quite familiar with one of the major module as I have done it more than a year ago. But there is another new module for me to pick up.

My manager assigned this
one whole week for her to transfer knowledge to me. But all she did is giving me a list of documents to read on my own! If I have any questions only ask her. For the new module, she asked me to refer to another developer to get the document and briefed me for 5 minutes. So I have to learn based on the documentation on MY OWN

Fine
.

My team leader asked her to pass me a PDA meant for testing. She kept insisting that she couldn’t do that, she need to return to the HR. She has to do it using proper procedure thus cannot pass to me. My team leader then said just show me how to use the PDA for the module testing so I’ll know how to use it in the future. And she kept telling that it she couldn’t do that, need to ask manager. Then she said in the future we won’t need to test it anymore coz other department will take over it. So, no need to show me. Beside, she said, I can refer to the developer in the future if I really need to do it. Can’t even show me how to do it??! She’s just so reluctant until my team leader saidnothing.

Fine.. again.

Then, just now, 3 hours later, she came to my place and practically dumped the PDA to me. She just told me that this is the PDA and charger and took them out from the box. I just asked her nicely that don’t you need to return to HR and it’s ok with me to do it in proper procedure. She said never mind, since we

insisted on having it. Did we?!? We just want her to brief me on how the module works on the PDA!!!

And then, without even briefing a word on how to use it on the module,
she left!! She just told me that I need to install the Microsoft ActiveSync. I was really mad at this point of time. What’s the point of having manager assigned one week for her to transfer her knowledge to me when all she did is give me document and some instructions(like use Ms ActiveSync, go ask the developer for PDA document start page, install these 2 softwares - didn’t even tell me the full name of the software)

And yet, this morning in the pantry, she kept telling me and another colleague that she’s so free with nothing much to do now. Her last day is this friday!

Aarrgghhh…
